My DH and I are staying at the Shades of Green resort for Christmas, and will also be visiting MK during our stay- he is SO anxious and has no idea that I am pregnant. I would really love to surprise him in a really wonderful, creative way while at Disney World! Does anyone have any good ideas?

Hold up a sign up on splash mountain during the drop photo!!! Just kidding lol! You could insist upon looking at baby cloths a lot lol or wrap up a pair of booties in a box to give to him. Have a cake made and brought to your table after a dinner with congratulations daddy on it?

This

or, get him a "we're celebrating" pin... and when he asks what you're celebrating tell him.

Shop for a "Baby's First Christmas" ornament.

Ok, please don't flame me here, but I just read your post to my husband. We just had our first child 4 months ago.

He said he would have been disappointed that I kept the pregnancy from him for 4 weeks, even if it was because I was trying to plan a surprise.

Just something to keep in mind.

I was thinking the same thing, but I think it really depends on the kind of person ur dh is.

How the heck can you keep it a secret for 4w....I could not keep it to myself for 4 seconds....geez...

It is his baby too. Not sharing the joy with him isn't fair. My husband would be more than irked. Babies are shared .life experience. not a Disney moment.

I would buy a Disney themed onesie now and wrap it up. Leave it on his side of the bed or his place at the kitchen table. Tell him Mickey left an early Christmas gift. Then plan your Disney reveal with him for a photo for the family. I would never hide such joy from my DH. He was so happy and to lose that for 4 wks is unthinkable to me. Besides I would want my DH to be as involved as possible. Who else can you talk to since you aren't supposed to go talking about it to everyone during the first trimester?

Yes. Make a Disney announcement video or such for he rest of the family:)

We are living in different states at the moment. He is being medically retired from the military, I am back home and working; he will be out of the military soon and moving back home. We don't see each other everyday. I will not see him until Christmas Eve, and while I understand what you're all saying- this isn't the sort of thing I want to send in a text message or tell him over the phone. Not being selfish or hiding anything, it's just that I want to tell him in person, because it's a special moment. I know him, and he won't be upset with me for not telling him sooner. Thank you guys for the ideas!

If you are certain:) then i won't worry about him.

That said...

Is this a first? Do you have easy pregnancies? Or family to support you? My first trimesters were harsh so if you need him then tell him over Skype Or something. Are you telling anyone who can watch out for you?

Lol, if I can't worry about him I'll worry about you!

You know your husband, so of course you know the best way to surprise him with SUCH exciting news!!! I wish I had done something more amazing when I told my husband other than call him and shriek at the top of my lungs :)

Don't forget to shop for Baby's 1st Mouse Ears while you're there!!! Sending the happiest thoughts your way and wishing a magical vacation, too! We'll be there at Christmas this year, too, and it is breathtaking! Your surprise will make it even more memorable :)

Not the 1st but found out on one of our trips. So I bought a baby Mickey and onesie in the store on Main Street. Grabbed a photo pass photographer in front of the castle. Had my DD hand him the bag and we got photos of him opening it and telling him what it meant (although he guessed).

I think a big reveal is a lovely idea. You know your husband best.

I had planned to do one for my hubby and had ordered a onesie from his fave NBA team for when I eventually got pregnant.
I ended up with a positive test before the onesie arrived (totally didn't expect to get pregnant in the first month!) so blurted it out to him. When the onesie arrived I told him what I had wanted to do and he said he would have loved a big reveal. I promised to do one with #2 but we ended up having twins and aren't having any more so he never did get the big woohoo moment!!

This will be our "first". I have one child from a previous relationship; but she is his in his eyes! :) I haven't told any family, either! I don't want anyone to spoil it! Lol!

Lol, so you know what you are in for. Take care of yourself in the crazy holiday season. :)

Congrats! I don't think there is anything wrong with making the moment memorable, disney sounds like a great place to me!
