just found out the I'm having a baby!. We leave for Disney at the end of the month. I will be about 3 weeks, what can't I do while on the trip? :cheer2:

First of all, Congrats! I was 6 weeks when we went on our first annual mother-daughter trip. I was bringing my friend and her daughter for their first trip ever to WDW. My pregnancy was quite a surprise and I was worried about what I couldn't do on the trip because we had planned it for a year and I wanted to make it so special for them. Than I did some reading, asked for help on the Dis boards and thought about it. Most women don't even know they are pregnant that early, they don't know time it's much further along, it's very small and very protected because of that. So I did everything, but MS. I thought that might be to much. But RNR and TOT were fine. If I were further along like the time I went with my first child when I was 4 months pregnant I wouldn't have taken such a chance. Drink lots of water, rest and have a great time dreaming about the fact that the next time you come to WDW it will be with your wonderful child. Hope this helps you.

Congrats on your upcomming addition to your family. :goodvibes

I am leaving on Saturday and I am just entering my third trimester, so I have read a lot of these posts over the last few months.

All of the attractions that have ride restrictions have them clearly posted, and if pregnancy is a concern it will be noted there. You can also look them up on the Disney Website and on sites like allearsnet.com . Mostly they are the rides you would expect (Mission Space, Space Mountain, Aerosmith coaster, etc.) There are a few that surprised me like Kali River Rapids and the Safari at AK. There are plenty of Dis'ers who have been on some of these rides while pregnant despite the resrictions and report being fine. Being as far along as I am, I'm just going to go by what Disney says since I don't really want to take any chances. Plus, I'll be there with DD who isn't tall enough to ride most of them anyway. But ultimatly it is up to you to decide how seriously you want to take Disney's advice (or rather the advice of Disney's lawyers ;) ) I figure, I'll be back, I'll catch them next time.

I did tell my OB nurse I was going at my last appt. She just said to stay hydrated, not to let myself get over-tired, etc. She also gave me a copy of my OB record to take with me just in case I would need to see a Doc while in FL.

have fun!

Fisrt of all congratulations!!!!!
I have been to WDW many times..both in early Pg and around 6 1/2 months.
I pretty much went by what the ride restrictions said, except for Kilimanjaro safari...i just asked to sit up front.
Drink lots of water and make sure you take some breaks and rest.
Have a great time!!!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS! :sunny:

I went when I was 12 weeks pregnant and my OB told me that I could do anything that didn't stop fast (Splash Mtn) or had G-forces (RnR, ToT). She also told me that the baby was still so small and well protected that I would be ok to use my judgement. I rode the Safari and sat in the first row. It was very smooth and I did just fine on it. I also went to TL and rode the tube rides and was fine. I had a great time and enjoyed every minute. In 16 days, we are taking our DS for his first trip to WDW! :goodvibes

CONGRATS

Just like the previous people said, just use your best judgement...I certainly wouldn't be going on ToT or Mission Space...but all in all you will be good.

I went when I was about 6 weeks from my due date...obivously I couldn't do everything but you will still have a great time. Just take it easy and drink lots.

Hi! I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS! I'm going to DW the first week of December and I'll be 6 months pregnant. I hope your morning sickness and sleepy afternoons hold out until you return home! Everyone here has given you great guidance about what you can/cant do. Have fun!

Lesley

Congrats
and just want to say that if you are going at the end of the month and you are already pregnant than you will be more than 3 weeks once you go

chances are you are at least 3 1/2- 4 weeks right now

I have been taking clomid for infertility. So I am monitored every week with my doctor. They know when I conceived. I will only be 3 1/2 weeks when I go to Disney on the 24th of September.

:grouphug: I took CHLOMID with my DD she is now 9 months and we head to WDW the same day as you...staying at Coronado Springs!! Congrats on your new pregnancy...your going to be a momma so I BET your responsible enough :) and since you used chlomid I know you THRILLED about the pregnancy.....use your judgement you know what is right for YOU! BEST OF LUCK

Do what you feel is best. I would stay on mostly the tame rides. Rest when youfeel like it. Learn how beautiful the pools at teh resort scan be.
