Where is the preffered seating area for the Disneyland and the Electric Parade located? How early do you need to show up? :confused3

The preferred seating for the Parade of Dreams at Disneyland is located across from the entrance to It's a Small World, near the start/end of the parade. Usually, there will be a CM blocking the way w/a rope, and you can talk to that person. I would recommend getting there about 30 minutes before the start of the parade - it really depends how busy the park is. The more people with that perk at the park will determine how crowded it will be -- once the area is filled up you'll have to wait until the next parade.

At California Adventure, the premium viewing is located to the right of the entrance to the Hollywood Backlot area, and it is covered.

I've heard that if you do the 50th Anniversary Tour in the afternoon that they give you preferred seating for the parade.

When you book through the Walt Disney Travel Company, or an agency who uses them, you get preferred seating for the shows at California Adventure: Aladdin the Musical, Muppets 3D, and It's Tough to Be a Bug.

You also get Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness, which let's you in an hour before the general public.

When you pay for your package with your Disney Visa you also get the following premium viewing:
* Preferred seating for Snow White Musical at the Fantasyland Theater at Disneyland
* Premium seating at one of the following parades:
-- Parade of Dreams at Disneyland, across from It's a Small World
-- Electrical Parade at California Adventure, to the right of the entrance to Hollywood Backlot

You can also get premium viewing for Parade of Dreams when you take the 2nd or 3rd tour of the day - Imagination to Celebration (the 50th anniversary tour)

When you take the last tour of Imagination to Celebration, you get premium viewing for the fireworks, located from the train station platform - roped off section with benches/chairs to sit on, and standing room in the back.

You can get one of the following when you have a concierge package at one of the DLR hotels and add the Grand Upgrade for $17
* Preferred seating at Snow White
* Premium viewing for the parade
* Premium viewing for the fireworks

I did not know that! I just booked through AAA (staying at DLH) and used my Disney Visa - do you think this may be an "automatic" thing and I will get this? That would be so cool! :earsboy: Any idea?

Yes and there are ways besides the tour to get Prefered Seating for the parades, I was told by a CM, at least at the Electrical Parade that it was if you booked through the WDW Travel Co.

This is true when you pay for your package with your Disney Visa, otherwise you wouldn't get the premium viewing for the parade through WDTC.

Packages through WDTC include:
* Mickey's Toontown Early Morning Madness (get to Toontown an hour before the general public
* pin and lanyard - great for beginning your pin trading, or just collecting pins
* Preferred viewing at Aladdin, Muppets, It's Tough to Be a Bug
* California Fun Book (with discounts)

When you get 3+ day park hoppers you also get:
* $10 ESPN Zone game arcade card - good for something like 40 points
* early entry to Fantasyland attractions, Buzz Lightyear, & Monorail

Package Inclusions when booking a vacation package

How do I know if my travel company is one that goes through WDTC? We booked our SoCal honeymoon through Expedia and got the 4th night free promo rate for DLH. Does that mean we'll get the perks from WDTC? How would I find out if we do?

I was just told by my travel agent that the Grand Upgrade to a package is no longer available in 2006. It may because, with Snow White closed until summer, the only real benefit is the preferred parade seating that is also available at no cost if you pay with the Disney Visa. -- Suzanne
