Preferred view?

What kind of view is a preferred view at the BWV? Is it a view of the Boardwalk? This may be a stupid question.

There are two preferred views. You can get a confirmed BW View - which is a view of the Boardwalk. But book early! Otherwise preferred views overlook water (and gardens?)

Standard views face the driveway. If you can see the canal (even if you can see the parking lot or dumpster as well) its a PV.

Here is a loaded question: Do you ever get a Boardwalk view while only paying for a standard or are you definately going to look at the parking lot?

Anything could happen...

but BW views have their very own wait list and I imagine getting one while paying SV points would really make those people who are paying PV points and looking at the canal and on the wait list mad.

Probablity would be very low.

Stranger things have happened but I'd bet you'd see the parking lot 10 of 10 times staying in a Standard view room at BWV. There were some upgrades when there was construciton going on with the standard view rooms but that is done from what I've heard.

Just a head's up.....some preferred views are of valet parking lot. I had one of those in August and was quite suprised that I got charged preferred points to see that parking lot and a service area driveway with delivery/trash trucks going up and down all day. In all fairness, I also had a view of TOT when I stood out on my balcony and turned 90 degrees to the right.
So be specific in what you request & try and get your BW view requests in early. I was in room #4131 which was all the way at the end of the hallway.

An excellent preferred view (that is not of the Boardwalk) if you have kids is first floor quiet pool view. Gives everyone quick access to the pool and Community Hall. It is our favorite preferred view.

We recently stayed in a preferred Boardwalk view & I loved every minute of it. It was worth every extra point over the standard view as far as I was concerned.

I am told that you must now request either Boardwalk view or just preferred view when you make your ressies. It all depends on what people want, but I really enjoyed sitting & watching what was going on down on the Boardwalk - others may prefer the quietness of the pool areas.
