Preferred View at Saratoga Springs

Where are the preferred rooms typically located at SSR? Is it certain buildings?

It's not a view so much as it's a category. Preferred Category is in The Springs and Congress Park. Standard is everywhere else (Grandstand, Paddock, Carousel).

Views vary widely within each category.

Thanks - having never stayed at SSR - I assume those are the buildings near the main pools and food options - is that what makes them preferred?

Congress Park is near Disney Springs, and The Springs is near the check in, food court and main pool.

I guess these were requested more frequently than others contributed to their designation. We ALWAYS had requested Congress Park. I particularly liked the views across the water and the quiet pool in that area.

To save points we recently asked for and got the Grandstand, it was nice, but I still prefer CP.

Paddock has an easy walk across the bridge to the main house, as well as a great pool/play area and snack bar. A bit more walking to be sure, but it's a bit less expensive.
