What is Preferred Seating for Aladdin? I looked through the thread and I could not find more details. I also did a google search and couldn't find it explained anywhere.
Thank you

It gets you into the theatre first. I prefer NOT sitting in the front section because the characters come through the theatre and would actually be behind you.

I think you can only get Preferred Seating for Aladdin through packages now. I had read here that you could possibly get a "mini-package" in DTD with MTMM and Aladdin preferred seating but someone recently posted that you need to have a package already to add that onto it.

We stood in line for a LONG time (45 minutes?) and I would have gladly paid $10 to get preferred seating to Aladdin, as those folks walked up 5 minutes before the show started and got to enter before us.

P.S. I loved our seats in the second row of mezzanine section, NOT the orchestra, because there is a parade that comes through that walks right in the wide pathway between the orchestra and mezzanine and the orchestra seat guests had to turn around to see them. Plus, there's another scene later where orchestra folks would have had to crane their necks up to see above them and we didn't have to do that from our seats.

Agreed, we don't like to be that up close and personal with the stage, but the above-referenced scene has been -- uh -- temporarily suspended due to a dangerous mechanical issue.

My recent viewing of Aladdin had us sitting and observing the line for quite some time. It was interesting. We prefer the Mezzanine and the CM try to fill up the Orchestra first. When we arrived at the queues we asked for Mezzanine and were told to step aside and wait for Orchestra to fill up first. We were then put into the Mezzanine queue. During this time we observed preferred seating guests coming in before us and some after us. They stood in their own line and yes, they were let into the theater first, but they were only allowed Orchestra seating.

Truth be told, we could have had our Mezzanine seating without much of a wait in line. First row is now blocked off (not sure how long it has been that way. We were in the third row back, center stage and it was excellent.

I don't think I would have wanted Preferred seating if a CM had come to me and told me I could have it.

I took pictures in another thread from that particular visit, which should give you an idea of the view and positioning of the seats.

We had preferred seating for the Aladdin show. Basically you're in the first group that goes into the theater.

If you have little ones you might consider sitting back a little because the theater seems to flatten out near the front. So the view can be obstructed if the kids are behind an adult. My 4 y/o ended up sitting on my lap for the show.

The show was great BTW.
