Hi I saw and have posted to the other thread on this board but it raised a question for me. How does one get preferred seating for ALaddin?

You have to buy a package from WDTC or, IIRC, AAA. I'm pretty sure when we last used AAA travel we got it as part of our package but that was several years ago. I know for sure it comes with WDTC packages.

We got the vouchers from booking with Costco.(AAA, Disney and a couple others offerthis with there packages.) What I do not understand is if PS for aladdin and the vouchers are SO important, than why not book the package, or is it just I do not want to spend the money if there is a difference.

It's an awful lot more to book a package. When I was pricing out our trip in December 2009 for five days, the package costs were generally coming in $400 - $500 more than booking hotels and tickets ala carte. The extras with the packages (MTTMM, preferred seating at Alladin and a few others, lanyard, luggage tags) just didn't seem worth that much money. But, we've had the package before when we didn't feel comfortable enough to book seperately and it was a nice extra to get the preferred seating and MTTMM (though we generally didn't use them all up as there just wasn't enough time to do everything).

I agree, if you can save more ala carte that is best way to go. When I booked last August there was not diff between the package as far as room and tickets, not a penny, but the package had a free character meal worth $35 and a twenty dollar gift. We gave the other stuff away except for the pins.

It just seems that the TTMM and Aladdin are very important to some people and they risk not getting what they want. If I do apackage again this office of the voucher go.

I agree with you Jack. I wouldn't book a package unless the cost was the same as booking separately. That almost never happens. I would not book a package just for the perks, because imo, you can get just as good seats without the package at Aladdin, I don't do pin trading (imo, it's a PITR to wear them all day/night long plus it gets in the way of the camera!:lmao:). I would like the free character breakfasts, but only if it really were free. If it costs me $500 for the 'free' breakfast, I'd rather pay for it out of pocket. The only times I have ever booked packages was years ago when they had the unlimited fast pass feature for WDTC and then later AAA packages only. That was worth it to me since we usually go at the busy times. I wish they offered that again!:) I also have wondered why if the perks were so important to people they just don't book a package.:scratchin If it were that important to me, I wouldn't want to deal with the stress of wondering if I could get tickets to the MTTM or Aladdin, I'd just buy the package. :goodvibes
