Preferred Rooms at CBR

I read in the DWills news letter last night that the CBR is now going to offer preferred rooms next year. I guess the demand for the "close" to the food court rooms are in such demand, they will now cost more.

I think it is a great option for those times when you really would prefer to be close to the main area!

I'm not sure I like the idea of having to pay extra for something I already get. The only advantage I can see is that your room in say, Martinique would be guaranteed as opposed to just being a request. But from what I've read on these boards, most of you who request Martinique or Trinidad North are granted their request. Safetymom, where are you?

I stayed in Trinidad north and here is my opinion:

I would NOT pay $15 more to stay in this secton. It's silly. If that is the case, I'll just pay a little more and stay at the WL or AKL! If the building is right by the food court (like at the All Stars), that's different. These buidlings are NOT right next to the pool/food court. They are closer than others, but not close enough in my opinion to pay extra. I don't know about Martnique, since I didn't go over there.

Susy, we too stayed in Trinidad North. While I really liked the location, I don't know if I would pay extra for it. My husband and I walked the path around the resort 2-3 times each night, so having to stay a little further away wouldn't bother us. The exercise does us good!! Of course it was just the two of us (our first trip without the kids!!), so it was easier for us to walk. Families that have to cart alot of kids, strollers etc. might want to pay the extra to be closer!! Although no matter where you are, there is some kind of walk.
