Preferred Room

Hello,
This year I picked Preferred Room when going to disney world. how does that work? Do i have to call them to tell where I want to be ? or what?

You didn't say what resort you were staying at; but the preferred booking category is close to the main building, transportation and amentities.

You may want to request something like upper floor, etc. but you are already booked to be close to those items shown above, so you don't need to request them.

That is usually why people book preferred, so they don't have to request and hope to be close to the main area - Disney realized that people have been effectively requesting that location for years and now then can capitalize on it by making it a special booking category.
