We were wondering what the preferred dress was for Pirate's Night in the dining rooms. Do most people just wear tropical shirts, or do they dress in costume? What have you seen on board? Thank you so much!!

Hi, we cruised last in September and saw a lot of both. We dressed tropical as that is what it was prior. I had already purchased our clothing, and this changed not too long before our sailing. There was a lot of nice pirate clothing though. SOme people look amazing, there is a thread or two on here with families postign their pictures, and they are gorgeous. :) pirate:

This was our third cruise, and this turned out to be our favorite night, great deck party, and just a whole lot of fun in the dining rooms too.

Enjoy your cruise, right around the corner!!! :sunny:

We cruised in January and of those who chose to go with the theme saw about half tropical and half pirate. Most of the little girls (10 and younger) had the tropical dresses/outfits that you could buy on St. Maarten for about $6-$10. There were some adorable pirate boys and daddys too.

We cruised Dec. 28th, the 7 day western over New Year's. I did not see any adults dressed up in pirate attire but there were a few children. The adults were dressed in casual island attire but no shorts. The wait staff were all dressed in pirate attire. The party that night is wonderful. A great addition to both ships. The photos of some Dis members dressed up were great. So if you want to dress up go ahead and have some fun. Kathy

Our pirate night on the 10 day Christmas Cruise was the night we left St. Lucia. We were greeted into St. Lucia by a real pirate ship. In fact, it was used in the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean. It was our favorite night. Many, many, cruisers dressed up, that's because on our thread we all talked about it. We all had pirate names. It was a blast. Here we are:

Just got back today (sniff). We had very few people dress up for Pirate Night. You do get complimentary Pirate "do-rags" that the servers will tie for you! Great fun! Even better deck party!!!
