Preferred AP renewal cost

Does anyone know the cost of renewing a Preferred AP.

I'll need to renew mine in the next few weeks, and will probably have to call to do it. I can't do it online because I can't login. My AP is several years old, and the Passholder ID number didn't print very well, and I can't read it. Also, since it's an older AP, it doesn't have a PIN on it. (I've always renewed it on-site before.)

TIA

It's been $109 plus tax for several years now,but I heard they raised it to like $149 or $159 this year with Potter opening.

Yeah...they didn't send any notification that the price was going up...at least I didn't get anything.

Does anybody know the renewal price for the other two passes offhand (Premier mostly)? Trying to decide if it's worth springing for premier for myself, and between the lesser two for a friend.

The Power Pass doesn't have a renewal rate...you have to buy a new pass. The Premier AP is about $190.00 or so I think.

Really, they're that close? I assume that is excluding taxes, do you know if it went up when the preferred pass went up? Man, renewal rates for the preferred have really gone up. Trying to decide if it was worth the $50 difference between the Preferred/Premier since they sent me a mailer giving me a "deal" on the passes to come back, but figured I'd factor in renewals as well. Can you downgrade a pass, say premier for 1yr, then decide to "renew" at preferred level the next year?

I feel so out of the loop! LOL

I think you can downgrade to the Preferred from the Premier but you're right...the prices went way up! You might want to call the Passholder Hotline to verify the prices. They've changed so much stuff this year it's hard to remember what's going on.

Cool thanks, just trying to do some research, mailer says I have until April 30th though so plenty of time.

WOW, what a price increase!!!! I have to renew Sherry's and mine in May, that is going to be around an extra $100, OUCH!!!!!:scared1::scared1:

The price increase was a lot this year. However, the annual pass rates at the hotels have been fantastic and the fact that you now get your Loews benefits with the annual pass rate really helps too.

Try renewing 3 ;) We may actually let Bubba's lapse...have to check the ticket prices vs renewal cost. We won't go for our usual 5-6 days anymore then...we'll knock it back to 3 instead. Thinking more cruisin' in OUR future...

yep...thinking that's the "bone" they are throwing to us. :rolleyes2

"Oh...we're sorry it's such a steep increase all at once. Here...let's give ya a good discount on the hotels this year." :snooty:

I'm frustrated with the price increases too. As I'm an AAA member, the universal discounts with that membership are very comparable to APH discounts.

Fortunately, my ap is good until September, so I have time to decide. If a better APH room rate gets released for our October trip, I'll probably renew; Otherwise, there's a good chance that I'll let the ap lapse and buy 4-day passes for my group.

currently, the AAA rates for my dates (Oct) beat the AP rates by $25+ a night...maybe the AP rates will drop by thenit's been the same for the last few years whenever we visit, except for last minute trip end of July last year.

Hopefully the trend will continue that I am seeing in the date and rate thread. There are quite a few $50 differences of AP rate over AAA rate. The latest big APH drop for the summer just came lately, so maybe you'll get lucky.

keisha & I are holding out hope for October....she & I have the same date/rate goin on...

I'm thinking instead of not even having APH rates to view, they are just there to view and will (hopefully) be adjusted later.

We haven't gone in October, always in June/July.

Keepin our fingers crossed....

thanx damo! barb's probably right, the rates listed r just placeholders of a sort i'd guess.im not surprised the rates r high for weekend/holiday/special events stays, i expect no less. imo, if i were U i'd raise the rates as high as the public would bear for the party nights, they're in it to win it (our $ lol).

That's why I have my room booked now. If rates go up, I'm still locked in at my current AAA rate. If rates go down, I'll have the new rate applied to my reservation.
