Can anyone tell me what the current renewal rates are for the preferred annual pass? The new passes have gone up sky high and I wondered if the renewal has also gone up. I did a search but didn't come up with anything. Thanks for your help.

The renewal rate is $117.14 including tax.

Such a great deal. I looked at the Disney annual passes and they are $469.00!!!! Even at $214, the Universal passes are a great deal.

Its a very good deal but Disney has 4 major parks though and Universal only has 2. So the prices are pretty much the same.

I look at it time wise and ride wise. There are about the same number of rides that I go on in total at the 4 Disney parks as at the 2 Universal parks.

Disneyland's pass is $389 for two parks.

I think that Disney World's renewal rate is only about $20 cheaper than its normal rate (about 4 times as high as Universal's renewal rate).

I'm the same way and live 2 hours from the parks. We choose Universal since its better and cheaper. For my family of 3 we can enjoy the years worth for peanuts.

On our trip this summer we keep tossing around going to Disney for 2 days and do all 4 parks like last year. The best deal is a FL resident 3 day park hopper with taxes for 3 people is $480. We just can't justify yet that price for a few rides we like and the crowds.:thumbsup2 Ended up doing that last year so my DS could see Disney atleast once.

The best way to do it, we found, was to go to the parties. However, they cancelled the Pirate and Princess party this year, so we went to SeaWorld instead.

I think we are going to Seaworld this year also since we have not been since 2001. I want to ride Manta.

Our tickets were about $60 (purchased them before Christmas) and they included the option to come back within 7 days for free. If Manta had been open, we probably would have.

Can anyone confirm the renewal rate is still $117.14 including tax.
Just been searching DIS and Google for about 30 mins, can't find answer. Ours are due for renewal in next 2 weeks.
Thank you.

My friend renewed several months back and paid that $117.xx for the preferred AP.

I suggest that you call the AP hotline and renew thru them.
When i called, there was a special going on. (Receive an additional 3 months when you renew)
I renewed 2 months early to get that the special.

just a heads up.
disney is increasing their ticket prices August 2nd by what i have read.

You know when one park raises prices, the others soon follow.
i base that statement on the past years i have been doing both parks.

Thank you, looked a few hours ago, let me access newsletter, discounts etc but couldn't get the renewal button to work.
Same price as last year then. Will definitely renew. :thumbsup2

Will be happy for 12 months but 3 months extra would be even better if they are still doing it.

Disney always seen to increase prices just before we go in August. Not renewing our Disney AP's this time, bought 21 day ultimates so we could get free DDP.
Couldn't refuse the deal we got from Disney UK, OKW studio with free DDP for 3 adults $135/night inclusive. (plus park tix):goodvibes

I renewed about a month ago and didn't get any extra time.

I renewed Sunday and didn't get any extra time either. Our passes were $106.95 through AAA, I don't remember it being that much of a savings over buying them through USF

The 3 months free was not sent to everyone. We got one and when I called in to renew it was just for a couple of people in our family and not all of us? Anyway they did give to all of us.
