When you go to a ticket and it asks you for your Known Traveler Number they want your KTN right?

Do I enter the UE ID anywhere? I'm asking as for some reason I more often than not do not get the TSA precheck mark on my boarding pass, even though I have it and it is current. I'm wondering if I'm (or my travel buddy) is entering in the wrong number.

Be certain the name and birthday the Airline has on file match your KTN "exactly" - ask an Agent to double check.

KTN = Known Traveler Number.

As mentioned, name on ticket needs to match name associated w/KTN.

Your profile with the airline you are flying needs to have the correct KTN (must be non-expired, you must reapply every five years), that matches the name on your ticket exactly. If it’s not entered properly when you buy your ticket or if the names don’t match, you won’t get the TSA pre-check when your boarding pass is issued.

The airline had my date of birth off by one day - flagged in multiple places - got a little too exciting at TSA. And trust me, I fit No high risk profiles lol.

No. Just the KTN in the KTN spot. (not the redress number spot)

Look at your precheck account and make sure the birthdate is exact. If not, get it fixed.

Enter it into your airline account profile.

When you go through checkin, if you don't get precheck, go back through checkin on a computer and enter the KTN manually. See if you get it this time. I have a 100% precheck rate due to going back through when it occasionally doesn't show up.

And some of my accounts still have my middle name as my name, while precheck does not. Still get precheck.

Make triple sure you have the KTN on your reservation. Many people get flagged and sent back to ticketing and some days those lines are awful.

When I first got Pre, I didn't sign up with my middle name. I didn't realize Delta DID have my middle name, so my first trip, I didn't have it on my BP. I called Delta, and they could delete my middle name, but they combined it with my first (FirstMiddle Last), and I've had it everything since.

If you have an account with a particular airline that you usually fly, you can enter your precheck KTN in your profile with that account. Then when you sign in to book a flight, your KTN should automatically be entered with all your personal info. So you won’t have to enter it manually every time you book.

Fromtier lets you enter your KTN when you check in to get your BP. Frontier will often drop your number off your reservation. Be ready to add it at check in.

If you get a BP again that doesn’t have Pre-check immediately reach out to your airline and ask. If they can’t help reach out to TSA. (And I don’t mean waste time on a phone, just chat or use Twitter/x., I think you can even text TSA.)

Yes.
No. The only thing the UE ID is used for is for checking status on the government website.
