we are finally less than 2 weeks away from our trip :cool1::cool1::cool1:

June 7-11, DLH (followed by June 11-15 in Texas)

Travelers:
Me: 40 something mom....5 trips to WDW, never DLR
DH: 40 something dad...5 trips to WDW, DLR 35+ years ago
DS: Sam, almost 11...4 trips to WDW
DN: neice Michelle, 11...never to WDW, DLR as a toddler

We started talking about a DLR trip a few years ago, but only got serious about it last November when we were standing in the middle of MK at WDW. We called SIL to ask if we could invite Michelle and then we 'gave' her the trip as a Christmas gift. We did this by giving her a Tink purse filled with a Disney travel book, Disney dollars, and a lanyard filled with trading pins.

Sam is a major Disney history buff; he prefers to watch Disney documentaries over most any Disney movie. He has been begging for a DLR trip for several years already. We had enough DVC points left this year for 4 nights at DL, so we agreed to the trip.

I originally made reservations at PPH because of our available points. Sam is bummed that we aren't staying at DLH. After thinking about it a while, I asked some friends and was able to borrow the 5 points that we were short and I changed our reservation to DLH. Sam has NO IDEA we are staying at DLH. He won't know I switched until we get there. ;) Finally, I can pull off a surprise on him. Can't wait.

We are scheduled to land at SNA at about 11:00 on Sunday and are taking Super Shuttle to the hotel. Once there, we plan to check in (or store our bags if the room isn't ready) and head over to DL. We know we may be facing some crowds but will just head over and see what we can see.

Monday morning I have reservations for breakfast at PPH (7:30) and then we'll be doing the Welcome To Disneyland tour at 10:00. After the tour, we have no set plans.

Our only set plan for Tuesday is a late lunch (2:00) at Cafe Orleans

No set plans for Wednesday.

Thursday is our last day, Super Shuttle picks us up at 3:00, so we will still be able to do a park for a few hours before heading to Texas.

that's it for now. I have my park hours & entertainment schedules. I'm starting my 'dont forget' basket and list. Now just waiting for the 7th to get here.....

Sounds like a great trip! If you're son is a Disney history buff, he might like the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour. I hear there is quite a bit of history, and you get a peek in Walt's apartment.

Have a great time!

We looked into that tour, but it was a bit $$$ to pay for 4 to take it. Plus my neice would probably have been bored. This tour sounds like it has some history in there along with some rides.
