Normally, I like to take the time to plan a holiday to DLRP, however this time is slighty different!
I turned up at work today and was told that I am on Annual Leave next week which worked out really well as DW is on holiday as well. I got home and after telling DW, we both looked at each other and said 'Disneyland!' 10 minutes later, we were booked in to the Hotel Cheyenne for 4 nights from Monday 14 July to Friday 18 July!
The main difference this year to any other year is that we have now got a dog and we had to find somewhere for her to go. Luckily the in-laws were more than willing to look after her and we are now looking forward to a much needed break.
We are taking Trixie (the dog) to the in-laws after me and DW finish a night shift on Sunday morning. We are planning on sleeping for most of the day, then at 0130hrs Monday morning, I am taking Trixie for a walk and then me and DW will begin our journey down to Folkestone.
It has always been a tradition of ours to stay at a Travel Inn in Folkestone, but due to the dog, we cant this year. We really love the drive down to DLRP and we are planning on catching the 0620hrs Eurotunnel train across the channel.
I cant wait, but have got 3 night shifts to get through before we can start our journey. In the meantime, I am going to pack and make sure that we have all of the car documents and insurance squared away.
Monday seems like a lifetime away yet, but I am so excited (Im 25, but feel like an excited child at the moment!
)
I have got a few ideas about what I would like to do for DW whilst we are there and I am really hoping that everything works out.
I will post TR as soon as I get back!!!
