Hello everyone.....well, I can't believe it's almost been a year since our last BIG trip to DLR. I say BIG because we live in So Cal so we've been to DL a couple times for day trips over the past year but in Oct. we will be going back for 3 1/2 days and we can't wait!!! We went last Oct. and really enjoyed the weather and low crowds and are hoping for more of the same this year. Anyway, here is our cast:
Me (Natalie) 30yo(next week - yikes!!):scared1:
DH (James) 34yo:cool2:
DD1(Madison) 5yoprincess:
DD2(Ava) 2 1/2yoprincess:
My sister(Alycia) 25yo
Our trip will begin Oct. 7th(sun.)-Oct.10(wed.) We plan to arrive sun. afternoon whenever my DH gets off work. I just booked our room at the Tropicana on Harbor for 3 nights. Our last visit we stayed at the Del Sol but their rates went up quite a bit for this time so we decided for a few dollars more to try the Tropicana since I've heard good things about it.

My plan so far is this: Arrive sun. and spend some time in DTD, have dinner probably at Rainforest and then head into DL for fantasmic and fireworks. When we went last year it was during the week so we didn't get to see these shows and the couple day trips we went after that the shows were cancelled every time because of weather!!! So we're hoping for better luck this time!!!
Monday we are planning to spend most of the day at DCA since we have never really done much of that and then going back to DL in the evening for dinner at Blue Bayou and a few rides.
Tues. we will be at DL - probably going to Tommorowland, Toontown, and our favorites in NOS
Wed. will be at DL again. Since this is not an EE day (and we don't have EE priviliges since we have AP's and are staying off site) we will do FL and then whatever else we didn't get to on Tues. and we will be watching the parade as well that evening.

I don't have all my logistics worked out yet(can you tell I'm a planner?!) since I'm still awaiting the Oct. schedule to be posted but we're looking forward to a great time. Since we're adding a day over our trip last year I'm hoping to be able to do a little more wandering/shopping than we got to do last time. Thanks for reading!!!

Happy Birthday Natalie! (the big 30!!! )

We are looking forward to hearing about your trip. It sounds like you enjoy visiting the same way I do.....off season & mid week. (if possible)

If you haven't seen it, you must see the Aladdin show in DCA your whole family will love it. I mention this because i believe that it runs ONLY Wednesday - Sunday. When we visited in June, we also arrived on a Sunday so we could DO the fireworks & Aladdin on our first day (as they wouldn't be available on our other days).

Have a great time & post again. :thumbsup2

Yes, we are definitely planning to see Aladdin. We'll probably try to catch a show whenever we get there on Sun, then go have dinner and then head to DL for fantsmic. I'm still waiting for the Oct. schedule to get everything else planned out and I'm hoping it'll be up any day now!!! I'm getting more excited about being at DCA since the only rides we've been on there are Bug's Land rides and Monster's Inc. I'm really looking forward to TOT, Soarin' and Screamin'. I wasn't planning on doing Maliboomer (looks like it'll make me sick!) or GRR (I don't anticipate it'll be all that hot but you never know) but my sis told me I have to go on those with her, I have no choice in the matter so we'll see how that goes! Anyway, I have planned out our DL days a little more if anyone has any comments/suggestions:

DL will be on Tues and Wed:
Tues: Since this is an EE day(which we don't have) I'm planning on doing Tommorowland, Toontown, and NOS (with PLATSI), and then having some freetime after dinner for whatever else we want to do.
Wed: Since this is not an EE day, Fantasyland, NOS again(we have to ride POC, HM, and BTMRR a couple times a day, everyday!) And then after dinner watch the parade and then do a few other rides we want to do again!

So I've now made our PS ressies. We have 5:30 ressies at BB for Mon. night and 7:40am ressies at Goofy's kitchen for Tues. morning. We are getting really excited now!!!
