Hello All! :banana:

I survived 96 hours straight with 47 9th graders! Do I win a prize???? :scared1:

We had a blast and saw lots of sights including two kinds of whales, a baby whale and also lots of famous sites in Boston.! And......best of all I brought you all back t-shirts from "Havad" and we were near enough to Maine to bring you lots of fresh lobster. I am melting the butter and cutting lemons. Get out your crackers for the claws. Enjoy! I will post some pics tomorrow when I load them up to photobucket if anyone is interested.

We're getting so close to our trips aren't we!! I have now starting counting days on my fridge countdown vs. weeks!! 32 for me!! :thumbsup2

Hello Disers!

I just wanted to update you all on a new development. But before I do so, I just want to say that we Disers are a rare breed. I dont mean to say this in a way to be offensive to anyone and I also dont mean to brag or carry on about myself. I actually mean to say it in a spirit of true humbleness and thankfulness, especially in this day and age. So here goes.....

I am so blessed to be able to go to Disney for a week

I say this because most people I have spoken with in the last six months can't go to Disney for a variety of reasons even though they would like to. :guilty:

Maybe its the people in my area but it is really out of reach financially or maybe they dont have the time, or they are single and dont want to go by themselves, etc. I have really been meaning to say that we are truly blessed to be able to plan and visit Disney.

So I bet you can just guess now what I am going to say next. Unfortunately, the friends we were going to meet in Disney are not going to be able to go. :sad2:

For a combination of reasons it just didnt work out for them. I am a bit bummed because I know the little girl is so sweet and really would have loved to go. And my DH would have liked to meet up with his friend. :cool2:

But I guess things happen for a reason so we will have to wait and see.

On a different note, my ticker below says our vacation is just around the corner! Wow...a week or so ago it seemed distant. But now all of the sudden its 27 days away~ :cheer2:

People....thats close!

In reading some trippies trying to catch up I noticed several discussing strollers. Yikes :eek:

I dont have strollers yet! Someone offered me their two umbrella strollers and I still havent gotten them. They keep forgetting to bring them to dance class where we meet each week. Hopefully this will be the week they remember. Hmmmm...Maybe they dont mean to lend them to me??? OR maybe they really are forgetting.... :rolleyes1

Well, we shall see. Also, its under 30 days and we still haven't received our yellow ME luggage tags. :scared:

I emailed our AAA agent tonight. Shouldn't I have gotten them by now? :confused3

Gosh I hope everything is alright.

Final comment....I ordered shirts from Zazzle.com however two of them were too small. I emailed and called the company to ask about replacing them. They were very friendly and helpful. The women on the phone suggested new sizes and told me what to do to ship them back. Well, they reprinted them for free and sent them.......twice! Opps.... so I emailed them to tell them I now have two copies of each shirt. They said it was their mistake and please keep the extra shirts . pixiedust:

Wasn't that nice! All in all, I was very happy with their service and how quick they were to get back to me. :cheer2:

The new shirt(s) are perfect and I would definately reorder from them in the future.

My DH and DD's all made some brownies for my return home. I brought some for you and some milk to drink. Enjoy! princess:

I cannot believe that we are in the 20's!! I got 22 days (well in 45 minutes it will be 22 days :rolleyes1

) Oh yes, and you are very brave to have spent all that time with ALL those 9th graders....That is something I could never do, I think I will stick to teaching the little ones! :rotfl:

Cathy you are so right we are all so lucky to be able to go to Disney and that we love it so! I'm so sorry about your friends not coming but I know you and your family will still have a wonderful time. That's great about the shirts which ones were they?

It is a wonderful blessing to be able to go to Disney. It is expensive---especially for families. Hopefully, they can save enough for a trip in the near future. :wizard:

I have never ordered from Zazzle. I have been on the site and looked at some designs----they have so many to choose from! I have sent them requests to add my name on the personalizations. Still nothing. I guess January isn't a popular enough name to add. :confused3

Your trip is getting soooo close! I am so excited for you and your girls! :banana:

Cathy, sorry to hear your friends aren't going. That's so disappointing for them. But I'm sure they'll get their vacation there some day. I just know you'll have a wonderful time anyway!! :woohoo:

I'm sure your luggage tags will arrive but if they don't it doesn't matter, they will still collect your bags once you provide your luggage receipts (you know the little receipts you get from the airline) at the ME counter! You could put a distinguishing ribbon on each bag just to make life easier for the ME staff too. You'd get more info on all of this at the transportation forum!

Oh by the way, it's JONSLOLA's birthday today. She's 30!!! Thought you might like to stop by at her thread and say hi. :banana:

We got just regular t's with an appropriate disney pic, our names and a quote. I took a pic of them a few pages back! :thumbsup2

What a beautiful name! Will they do a custom shirt for you? If not, you can do one on disneyshopping.com. They have a section to add your name and you type it in so its not picking from a list like on Zazzle.

I did get ahold of my AAA agent and she is mailing them so hopefully I will have them by the weekend. Trust me...you'll know when they arrive!! :thumbsup2

As you can see from my post yesterday, I was starting to wonder if my trip was going to happen. First, my AAA agent emailed me back. She does have my documents and luggage tags. She was to mail them out today. My DH commented that they have probably been sitting on her desk. But since I Dis :disrocks:

and know when they should arrive, I am keeping her on her toes! Well you can decide. In any case they are coming! Then the trip is official!

Also, the on-going stroller dilemma has been solved as well. My friend from work who got me reinvolved in Disney last summer has come to my aid. She has a very expensive, lightweight, double stroller she wants to lend to me. :woohoo:

It is a side by side with lots of bells and whistles but it only weighs like 17 pounds and has a carry strap and folds up twice. So we are all set. I will have it in my hot little hands tomorrow! Thanks Alice!!! :cheer2:

You're a life saver. I really needed a stroller and I cant stomach having to buy one or two or renting them there at this point.

Finally, I am working on labeling and laminating my swiped LGMH :earseek:

and my daily schedule. I also wanted to say that I only brought two pairs of crocs on my trip this past weekend. We traveled, toured, boated, walked all over Boston, shopped, hung around hotel, swam etc. and my crocs were perfect in each and every situation and in all kinds of weather. My feet didnt hurt and neither did my body. So...I will do the same thing for Disney. :idea:

As far as the stroller goes, I will take good care of it as long as no one steals the thing while we are enjoying attractions. I am putting a huge sign on it which I am making tomorrow. Hopefully it will deter any "light" :headache:

Did you all see the wonderful pics??? Wow-weeee....I felt like I was practically there. Those are all the pics I was planning on taking of all of the details. Ohhhhhhhhhhh DM.....its getting ever so close and I am trying to keep my composure but its crumbling........ :cheer2:
