new sandals (being broken in now) for ds and dd
ebay pins for trading!!!!
purell

Am working on their latest countdown calendar. Each trip I've put together a lift the flap type countdown calendar going out about 20days from the trip which means I need 40 Disney pictures. This time I'm hoping to start it at 30 days.

CharityLynn - You may want to leave the crayons at home and take colored pencils. Crayons have a tendency to melt in the very hot Florida heat, so they would be one more thing you absolutely could not let the children leave in the car. Whereas the colored pencils would be okay. I find markers too messy for the car, especially if they leave the top off on the seat . . .

Just my opinion . . . :rolleyes1

*New clothes for me!
*New clothes for DS
*Razors
*New shoes (broken in at least 3 months before trip)

I bought a pair of Crocs several months ago, then I bought another pair! I really like them!

I got a haircut last weekend.

Over the past several months I have bought about 10 pairs of shorts and at least that many shirts. I have bought a bunch of new clothes for DS & DH, new shoes for everybody, 2 backpacks, 2 fanny packs, tons of other stuff.

That spray sunscreen is the BEST. :thumbsup2 Just came back from the water park and I used it on myself and the kids - it is great!

I ordered a new swimsuit from Lands End back in January because it was on sale!

I desperately need a pedicure. Obviously I need to get on that since we are leaving next week. :sunny:

I am leaving on the 17th of August. So far I have:

purchased a coach belt bag, can't stand wearing a backpack in the heat

new bathing suit

few new clothes

rain ponchos from the dollar store (1 for each day so I can throw them out)

new clothes for DH

pedicure appt made, nail and hair appt

New dig camera- trying to learn all the little things it does...Sony Cybershot, small takes great pictures. large screen. So far it has been very user friendly. Takes a weird battery though, did come with a charger for it and the battery does last a long time..

Me, too! I love my new Sony Cybershot! Much more user friendly than the one that came out last year.

Also for my trip I bring:

1) Extra pair of contacts (ask your opthalmologist for a pair; oftentimes they have "samples" to give -- worked for me!)

2) Extra memory stick and battery for camera

3) Go to Cingular Wireless to have them make a copy of my SIM card, just in case if I lose my cell phone; I will have a copy of all my contacts and their telephone numbers (speaking from experience here, folks) :rolleyes1

4) Scotchguard my vinyl camera bag to repel any water during sudden, unsuspecting Florida showers.

5) Brush Ups and individual dental flossers - great to clean your teeth and small enough to tuck away.

6) All chargers -- for mobile phone, camera, etc.

7) Bonne Bell Lip Smackers :thumbsup2

Goin' in December -- I'm on the lookout for cheap glowsticks -- our local Jewel has sets of 11 glow "thinggies" -- bracelets, etc. for $1.00 and I bought a bunch of sets. Now moving on to the 6" sticks -- there's some cheap ones on eBay.

Cheap ponchos, and anything summer I can get on sale and not wear until December..... :cool1:
Try www.illuminationz.com I usually get some bracelets from them and they last me a year. 4th of july, WDW trips, all kinds of occasions.

In Savannah, here. My DD brought a crayon from a restraunt one time and boy that was a mess. Luckily, it was on the little pad on the dash, so all it did was warp the pad. :guilty:

Hmmm...I get a little insane with the shopping before a trip. I feel like I need new stuff. I am going down to Disney this September and here is my shopping list:

- 1 Disney tank from disneyshopping.com (check)
- 2 pairs of shorts
- swimsuit
- bras
- Black Crocs Athens
- white tee-shirt
- Ziploc bags (to pack outfits in)
- battery for camera

I know that as the trip gets closer, I will *need* more stuff! :rolleyes1

Question! Question! :Pinkbounc

Daisy and others have mentioned packing outfits in ziplock bags. Are these children's outfits or adults? And what the purpose?

Already Purchased-

New Camera and two 1GB cards
Disney Shirts
AAA
New brakes for the drive down :sad2:
Un-Official Guide

Still need to purchase new shoes and cd-r's for driving music :thumbsup2

We have got new crocs , new ponchos , mister fans , new sd card for camera ,my pall mickey for DD ,

The smartest thing we did last year (12/7) b/f going was a shopping trip to the Disney Store.

-all T-shirts were $5
-stuffed animals..buy 1 get one free
-X-Mas picture frames ( w/ the year on it) were $5.
-Santa hats w/ the Mickey ears $5

We saved ALOT of $ :thumbsup2

I made my pre-Disney Walmart run yesterday. The only time I ever go to Walmart is before a trip. I don't buy as much now before we go because we already have most of what we need, but there are certain standard items:
I'm ever in search of the perfect bag for carrying to the parks. Haven't found it yet, but this time I got one of the one-shoulder type backpacks.
coffee pot filter packs - easier than bringing coffee+filters.
new underwear - I don't know why, it just seems like the right thing to do.
brightly colored luggage straps.
batteries for Pal Mickey
book to read by pool
sunscreen - lots
travel size toiletries
I usually buy new shoes, but this year my sandals are nicely broken in and I'm not getting new ones.
Now I'll get my pre-trip haircut, manicure, pedicure and a bottle of gin and we're ready to roll!

We are going in Dec. Our group includes, Me, DH, DS 14, DD 11.

When the Disney Store T-shirts were 4.99 and even cheaper for the Americana ones, I bought each of us 6 shirts.

When the Disney Store put out new fleece hoodies, I used my 15% off card and got DD and Myself tink hoodies, DH, and DS Pirates hoodies.

All of the above are hidden in my closet not to been seen by kids before our "surprise Christmas trip"

Have also bought - Mickey flip flops, travel size wrinkle releaser, 2 new under the seat size carryons that roll.

About the ziplock bags...I used them last year when we went to Disney. I bought the gallon size ones. I folded each outfit (shorts and shirts) nicely and then added socks and underwear in each of the bags. I then added to my daughters matching hair ribbons. I then rolled the bags up to get the air out and zipped them up.

1.) They were surprisingly not wrinkled.
2.) My kids were able to rummage through their bags to find something they wanted to wear without clothes all over the floor (since they were neatly packed in a bag.
3.) Everything they needed were in 1 bag! No searching for the underwear and pony tail items.

I will do this again next year when we go.

No..I did not do my or my husbands clothes in the bags.

Can someone tell me more about the baggallini bags? How big are they? Do they take up your whole back, like a backpack? I've been trying to find a picture of them actually on someone but no luck. Do you only use them at WDW or use them as a purse at home too?

The qvc site has several images of the bag--including one on the model.

http://www.qvc.com/asp/frameset.asp...ARCH-_-SEARCH&txtDesc=baggallini&SearchClass=

It is on the second page--about midway down--the ripstop nylon Messenger bag (periwinkle in the photo). Click on it, then Just click on "more images."

I will say that it is a bit small & I think my husband will need to carry a back pack too. We have a 3 & 7 year old & they need a lot of stuff. We also tend to take water of our own into the park.

It is very light weight, & a good size for me to carry around all day. The front pocket is good for organizing & in the main part I plan to carry my extra camera lens, my camera when on rides, & a small bag of necessities (meds, etc.)

Hope this helps--if not try searching for baggallini--I didn't know about the bag until I found this site. There are several posts on the budget board & you can get feedback from DISers who have used their's at Disney. I haven't been able to use the search feature for a few days though.
