Pre-trip excitement and preparation - 1 week to go

I'm so excited. We're on our 7 day count down and leave next Saturday. My dining room is Disney central with all our stuff since we are changing out RV's on Tuesday.

It's been fun buying little WDW reminders ahead of time. Ebay has been my new Disney friend. I found mickey dishes, dish towels, potholders and salt and pepper shakers that match the RV (browns and green). The family doesn't know I have them. They'll just appear when we unload.

One of our traditions is to give the kids new pillow cases for special times. I know it sounds weird but they still love it...and expect it. I bought some neat Mickey cases online that will arrive this week. I am in a bit of Ebay Disney letdown because time is too short to order much online before we leave. Hmmm, maybe order more and have it delivered to Fort Wilderness. We have our lime green Mickeys, July 4th decorations for the golf cart and trinkets to give at the parade. Our Mickey Mouse Lamp post is made and our satillite dish is painted with a Mickey Mouse on it. Now if I can only find Mickey Mouse string lights.

I just can't wait for that good ole diesel knock, the kids and dog in the backseat, the camper hitched and our house in the rearview mirror.

Ah, I share in your excitement!! Hope you have a wonderful time! Last I heard, they had the red/white/blue mickey lights at the trading post...maybe you can make that your first purchase when you arrive?? hehe (and if they are sold out, i heard that they have them at dtd at the christmas shop!!)

Have you checked Disney shopping.com? they have a red/wht/blue mickey flag 50% off and a floor mat (same) 75% off. The only reason I haven't grabbed it myself is shipping is $9.50 (I just can't justify it in my mind).
