I bought a book about Universal and IOA. In the book it talks a lot about the pre-shows or introductions to the rides. We will have FOTL access when we go in March. How much do you miss by not seeing the stuff in the waiting area? Are you confused about the story of the ride if you bypass the info that waiting patrons see?

Thanks

depends on the ride. some you end up in a pre-show with everyone else (shrek, terminator, jimmy neutron). others just bypass the queues. spiderman is nice for the story, and DD is the longest, most elaborate queue in the world. MIB loses alot if you don't wait for standby at least once.

What about the mummy? I am going to want to jump right on but, at the same time, don't want to miss anything.

There really isn't a preshow for mummy but the Q is interesting. There is a video in part of it but when we went the line moved so fast we missed it.The Q for FOTL is pretty dull.
If you get to the parks at opening I'd say do the Q's for mummy, spiderman and MIB
