Just saw this on Facebook. I guess this means everyone is eligible now and not just resort guests? I wonder how long they will do this? My guess is they finally realized that they were not selling as many when they limited it to resort guests only.

That was the first thing that came to my mind. When they took off the pre-purchase discount after we returned from our trip last year I decided there and then that I would only buy it if I got the pin. Glad it's back. I don't think they were doing too well. The price went up for the CD shortly before they took away the online public discount so it probably had something to do with it. They are making plenty on it. I know they have to pay the photographers, but seriously, how expensive is it to burn a CD?!?! You still pay the shipping on top of it.

That is great to know! We got several pics last year. We had a grand gathering of about 12 and it was certainly worth the cost. We ended up with a ton of pics and many were priceless!

I found the link just in time to use WITH my pin code. If you're a DVC member, they email you a code on request. I got the CD-ROM and photo book for $99.

How long will this last? Is there a time table?

I am not visiting until November of this year but I do not know if I should purchase this far in advance?

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Thank You so much...I was researching this topic last weekend and couldn't find anything...

I am going to Disney multiple times this year. Wondering if the pictures could stay unclaimed in my account untill the end of the year. So I will only have to buy one photopass a year instead of each trip.

I got the CD for $49 with the Disney Travel Company $50 off PhotoPass CD promotion email code. :yay:

Photos are stored for 30 days. But I did just notice that you can get an extention, I'm guessing a few extra days.

Thanks for the answer about the expiration date....

What is the disney travel company? is there a link?

I was just going to ask the same thing!

The Disney Travel Company is the company Travel Agents book WDW vacations with. You will notice on the famous castle luggage tags it says "Walt Disney Travel Company".

There was a promotion a while back that if you booked your package with a travel agent, Disney Photopass would email you a $50 coupon off the purchase of a CD. The email I received was NOT for a prepurchase CD. It just said use this code at checkout to receive $50 off the purchase of a CD. Well, I tried it out today and I was able to get $50 off the prepurchase. :yay:

If you booked your vacation with a Travel Agent using Disney Travel Company, have your agent send photopass an email requesting they send you the promotion code. Apparently, agents were supposed to include their clients email address at the time of booking in order to receive the promotion, but they were not aware of it at the time.

Hope that helps!
Mare
