We Are: Myself, Mother of Lynn and proud Grammie of Wade (just turned 8) and Tyler (just turned 5).
Saturday 30: Our last MK day, and Tyler still has a fever. He and Lynn slept in while Wade & I got up early and went down at the boat dock at 7:45 for the 8:00 boat. He wanted to do BTM and SM, so our destination was the Adventureland gate. This was a Saturday morning, and there were only about 50 people at the gate, and we were right in front. We headed straight to SM, which wasnt operating at the moment, so we got on BTM and walked right on. Then we went right over to SM, got a FP for 10:30, and walked right on. Since it was still not crowded, we went back to BTM, which had a posted wait time of 25 minutes, and walked right on. (How long can this last?) Went back to SM, which appeared to have somewhat of a line and a posted wait time of 45 minutes. Wade said he didnt care how long he had to wait, he wants to do it again, so we got in line and were in the car in 15 minutes. I dont know why they post the wait times so much longer than they actually are, but it was great. By this time, it was about 9:30. We walked back toward the gate and went on Pirates, Aladdins Carpet and the Tiki Birds (Wades special request he remembered this from last time and thought they were funny and liked the music). Headed back for our last SM trip and finished about 11:30 (and this is the Saturday before Easter). Wade is so cute on SM; every time we head up that last hill for the drop, he keeps muttering to himself Oh my gosh, here we go; this is it and just screams and laughs going down and loves it if he manages to get soaked. In three hours we went on SM 3 times, BTM 3 times, plus Pirates, Aladdin and Tike Birds. What a successful morning. We both love SM and BTM, so this morning was a special treat. When we left, the wait time for SM was 90 minutes. Wade wanted to go to Tomorrowland and ride the Transit Authority again (I think he likes it because it goes thru Space Mountain, which he hasnt quite mustered up the courage to go on because he doesnt like that its in the dark). We got out just as the Cinderella show was gearing up in front of the Castle so we stayed and watched it. I always love this, its so traditionally Disney, with the music and all the classic characters. Came back to a seemingly healthy Ty, but Lynn says that his fever is still there if he doesnt get his aspirin. Lynn & Wade went to the pool while I stayed with Ty while he takes a nap. Went over to Ft. Wilderness for a low-key pizza dinner.
