I have recently been made aware of the monorail schedule changes that began back in June. I have an 8am reservation at Crystal Palace. I know the boats are available, but what time to they start operating? Additionally, what time should I get to have dock by in order to get to the front gates by 7:45? Is there another way to get to the park? I'm not staying at a MK resort, I'm staying at the YC.

Thank you so much in advance for any help you can give.

Simple, catch a bus from the YC to MK...they start running an hour before opening (if I recall correctly)...the monorail change shouldn't effect you at all for this.

I'm sorry if this sounds really dumb, but I didn't realize the busses go right up to the MK gates, I thought that you always stop at TTC?

Also if hath busses only start an hour before park opening, my ADR is exactly an hour before park opening.... So that's a huge problem

Chances are that buses will start even earlier, you can check with the concierge on the exact time. We took a bus the Magic Behind the Steam Trains tour and although I do not remember the exact time, it was well before opening, they were still cleaning while we waited.

Nope. The only people that use the TTC are those arriving by car, or those using non-Disney shuttle services. There are buses to the MK from all WDW resorts. The buses start running by 6:30am every day. These early buses run a bit less frequently than regular buses do, so plan accordingly.

Perfect! Thank you for thine information!!

Buses to the parks start running at 6:30am for folks with early ADRs. :thumbsup2

We are staying offsite and have an early ADR. How early do the boats leave from TTC?

Boats to where?

The only boat from TTC is the Ferryboat to the MK, which starts about 30 minutes before MK opening. Before that, buses will be available until the monorails are back to normal schedule, starting at 7 a.m.

The Resort Monorail starts running in the morning before the Express monorail does. Feel free to use it for early restaurant reservations at Magic Kingdom. Sometimes the Express Monorail does not start until a half hour before public park opening.

If neither monorail is running, then check for buses.

We will be driving to the TTC with our rental car. How will I get to an early ADR since I believe the ferry makes its first run at 0830? Thanks!

Where are you trying to get to? And where are you coming from?

Off site to Crystal Palace at 0810

Park at the TTC (MK parking) and if the express MK monorails or ferries aren't yet running, walk next door to the Polynesian and take the resort monorail to the MK.

ETA- If the resort monorail isn't running due to the refurb, there will be buses running from the Poly to MK.

This is one of those things where you have to have some faith that if Disney is doing a planned shutdown of the monorail during a certain time they would have a backup form of transportation available during that time.

At least you would hope they wouldn't be so stupid. :)

There's no need to walk to Poly. During the monorail hours reduction, buses run from TTC to MK starting at 7 a.m.

When the Resort Monorail is running, it can be boarded at TTC as well.

There are times in the early morning when I rode the resort monorail that it did not stop at the TTC. This may not always be the case, but I have experienced this in the past.

That's news to me.
