Pre-park ADR

I know there's a few different ADRs you can make to get into MK early... Is there any such thing at Epcot? I'm trying to anticipate that I will have problems getting Fast Passes to both Frozen attractions for our November dates. Is there any ADRs that would get us into Epcot prior to opening so that we can be one of the first in line for the Frozen attractions?

Akershus breakfast buffet with the Princesses has preopening hours, which is also very convienently in Norway where the Frozen attraction will be.

Akershus and Garden Grill are both PPO. Akershus would presumably help with Frozen IF the Frozen attractions open at 9AM; Garden Grill puts you at the door of Soarin'.

Thank you! May have to go this route. Though my other question is this. Doesn't World Showcase typically open at 11 when Epcot opens at 9? So would this even be worth it to try or do we think that with the popularity of these attractions that area will open with the rest of the park?

With your November dates I'd just book that early breakfast and if we learn something this summer, as we should, you can make the decision to alter at that time. Best to secure now and cancel later than to not book now and not be able to secure lter, you know?

Absolutely! I plan to book this as soon as I can and if it turns out it won't get me on the attraction early, I'll just cancel it.

For what it's worth, back in 2014 when they were doing the A&E meet and greet in Norway, they would start meeting at 9am. At least that was the case in Feb 2014 when we were there, which was probably the apex of the Frozen craze. I remember walking in from the BWV/BC entrance after being fourth on line for park entry and casually walking over to Norway only to see hundreds of parents running with strollers from the main gate. By the time we got to the M&G, we had a one hour and 45min wait. And we were FOURTH ON LINE FOR OPENING AT THE EPCOT RESORT ENTRANCE!!! Obsurd! Of course, they didn't do fast passes for that meeting back then. Maybe they will now.

I remember the frozen craze when it was in Epcot, LOL...I remember obsessively watching these boards for the latest updates. I know when the sisters first moved to epcot they opened at 11, but Disney quickly figured out that, that just wasn't going to work because it gave the line 2 hours to build and people were seeing up to 5 and 6 hour waits in line! That was ridiculous I thought, LOL...Then I think it was about a month or 2 after that they decided to change it to 9AM and open with the park and then it became some what of a game, LOL, "The dad run" You would see all the dads literally sprinting to the showcase to get in line. We had a trip booked in April 2014 and I had already planned for an 8AM Akershus ADR bc I wanted to be prepared, LOL. Either my hubby was going to eat and wait in line for 2 hours until they opened at 11 or my hubby would eat fast and jump in line for the 9AM opening. I remember we ate our food so fast and my hubby got done first and just walked a crossed to wait in line. He was about the 6th person in line at that point and then I joined him with the kids when we were done. I was so glad we had that ADR bc by the time we were done seeing the Sisters there was already a 2 hour wait and that was at around 9:30!

Our trip is early July and I've got an 8am and a 10:30 ADR at Akershus because NO ONE has any idea what is happening and I want to be prepared. @sterlingsilver83, your post has been the most helpful. I could not find any information if they had ever opened a meet and greet in world showcase before 11. So the fact that they have before is SUPER promising for our 8am ADR. Thanks!!

I say get the Norway ADR and wait for more information once the ride opens, that way if it opens with future world then you have a better chance at getting to be towards the front (take-in the fact that it would be an 8am or earlier ADR). Do they allow early breakfast finishers at Norway to stay in the world showcase til 11am? I am anxiously waiting for this ride to open and hear feedback.

I always suggest that if in doubt, book the ADR. You can always let it go if you decide that you will not gain the advantage you want, but odds are great that you will not be able to book it later.

With that said, our PPO breakfast at Akershus was one of our favorites last August, and even without the Frozen advantage, it was worth it.

Thank you so much for all the info! A&E M&G is a must do for my daughter so I need to have as many options as possible to make sure she gets to do it. I will plan on booking my Akershus ADR as soon as I'm able and get it for as early as possible. Is it doable to be done there in under and hour, granted I can get an 8am ADR. I'm almost thinking this one is now more critical to get than our CRT ADR! I'm glad to hear that in the past they started those M&G at 9, that gives me hope! So now my plans are: A) Try and get a Fast Pass, B) PPO ADR at Akershus, C) Get to Epcot super early on morning EMH day. Between all those, something will have to work right??

So because you want to be prepared you have double booked breakfast, meaning another family can not even get one ADR. How fair is that?

I guess another family will eventually get the other booking when they cancelled the 2nd booking

Will a 10:30 ADR even help you though? If they start the M&G at 11, Future World opens at 9 anyway so anyone would be allowed in the park by that time. I don't really think that would give you an advantage on anything because the people who have already been at Future World would be heading over there early anyway I suspect. Unless I'm missing something, which is completely possible!
