Pre-Paid Visa Cards & Charging to the Room Question

Can you use a pre-paid Visa card, instead of a credit card, to get the charge to your room option on your room key?

Here's what I mean since the question isn't clear: All Star Sports will give you a $500 credit line on your room key to make purchases against. Can you give them a $500 pre-paid Visa card instead of a credit card? Or do they need a credit card?

Just wondering as I'd prefer to use the pre-paid Visa over the credit card.

If not, I can still use the pre-paid Visa and have my pkgs. delivered to my resort, right?!
