Pre-Paid Gratuities question

I pre-paid gratuities via phone prior to PIF (it was added to our account, it is now PIF as we are sailing in 2 weeks.) Another thread got me thinking and I went into my account. I cannot see any evidence that gratuities are pre-paid. I paid $240 for 5 people on a 4 day cruise. Anyone know how I can "prove" that I pre-paid? Where does it show up on the account?

Ha ha. To answer my own question, there is a little blurb in the booklet they send you before the cruise "thank you for pre-paying gratuities for your shipboard staff..." however it doesn't specify the amount I paid. The breakdown of charges in my account shows the per person amount, vacation protection plan, port fees, but no gratuities. That is where I am confused.

I also found the email of my reservation that does show the pre-paid gratuity amount. So I can print that out and bring it along. I just like to make sure I have all bases covered.

You'll still get envelopes for tips, and 'tickets' for your dining room servers to give them that show you've paid. And you can also add in extra if you want.

I sail September 14 on Dream in concierge. Do I still have time to pre pay?

Thank you.

I think you can add them up until 3 days prior to the cruise. That's typically when they "close the books" on changes to reservations.

I plan on pre-paying my gratuities and also adding some $ to my on board account. Do I have to call to do this or can it be done online? I always read about people calling to do this and now that I'm reading this post where they cannot view the pre-payments on their account it makes me think maybe the website doesn't support it?

Pre paid tips must be added by phoning them, or your TA.

Crediting your stateroom AC in advance you do those plus the other options of using the form under gifts on the DCL website.

So I can add funds to my stateroom account using the website, but they will not be listed as pre-paid tips. Can't the stateroom account balance be used to pay the tips on board though? I was planning on using my DVA to put funds into my on board account. I would prefer to do this online rather than having to call and wait on hold. Will I be able to do this for my tips? Add the funds from my DVA to my on board account via the DCL website and THEN use those funds to pay my tips?

You can use the form on the gifts section, fax it, send it, phone it.

Correct.

Yes they can pre pay tips just is a focus to pay the tips so they never show on your stateroom account.

I do not know how they do it on DVA.
