In order to keep track of each other when travelling WDW in 2 weeks we would like to buy an "American cell phonenumber".
Let me explain;
We are from Europe and using our cellphones with our european phonenumbers would be very expensive (first call to Belgium and then from Belgium to Florida to speak to my wife who maybe only yards from where I am).
Also we would give the children a card with there names and our cellphone in case they got lost.
So is it possible to buy prepaid cards WITH a phonenumber so we could call locally instead of the transatlantic route.
And what do they cost and where to get them.
You can get Belgian ones in Belgium for 25$.

In the states, the only way this would work is to buy a pre-pay cell phone.

You have to purchase the entire phone. You can't just purchase the number. Here's a couple of different companies:

Your other option is to purchase walkie talkies. They sell them here in the states for about $50-$100 per pair, depending on quality. There's NO phone number attached, and you'd be able to use them back home in Belgium.

Hope that helps!

I have a pre-paid cingular cell phone. It worked very well in WDW. I only had to buy a $20 card, which was more than enough minutes for us in WDW--though we had very short phone conversations. The phone was around $80.

Thx,

So no pre-paid cards with phonenumber without a cell-phone !
Back to the drawing board !
