Pre -order princess and the frog

Has anyone pre-ordered their copy of "The Princess and the Frog" yet?

I just pre-orderd my copy.

Remember when you pre-ordered from the Disney Store. You would get special items like lithograhs, mini stuffs or pins. I love my prints.

Oh wow, I thought this movie was already out on DVD. We went to the flea market yesterday and there is a man there who has all the new movie releases. We have bought from him before and they are the sealed and properly packaged movies that you would buy from any store. Anyway, he had the Princess and the Frog and I bought it for $10. We watched it last night and it was wonderful. I wonder how he gets all these movies in their original sealed and packaged condition?

We havew a store here that discounts movies the week they are released so I usually get mine there as they are about $5 less that week!

Yes, we'll be getting our copy. We have not seen it yet at all, so the kids are excited to make a great movie night out of it the following weekend.

Disneystore is doing a presale on Princess and the Frog. Like the old days, you get a set of 4 lithographs. AND a pair of coupons, either $10 on a $10 or more purchase, or another one, I forget, maybe $20 on $75 purchase (not sure!) The coupon starts the day you pick up the movie. A GOOD DEAL.

That would be because the are boot legged copies and illegal.

Hmmm I did not know that. I thought maybe he had a supplier from overseas where they come out earlier than over here. They have all the cases and sleeves that normally come with the movie, the only difference we noticed were sometimes they have a Japanese menu and then you have to choose the English menu option. I guess we will have to stop buying from him now.

Hate to tell you...if you are buying them at a flea market....they are bootlegs! 99.9% of them are illegal. And yes, some of the copies look good. Just like some of the illegal purses/sunglasses/clothing etc they sell can have some pretty authentic looking copies. But unless they are old movies that are being resold- they are bootlegs.

I think I read somewhere March, I thought it said March 17th but not sure about the exact date. I am also hoping for a coupon!

Disney only releases movies on Tuesdays - Princess and the Frog comes out Tuesday, March 16.

As mentioned, the copy that was purchased was illegal. The first clue is Asian writing on it - U.S. and Canada do not require Asian labels on products; therefore, they are illegal. That's an easy clue! Asia is the biggest bootleg distributor in the world.

Me too! Between the coupon and the new release sale price, I usually only pay about $10 for a new Blu-Ray Disney with the DVD also inside.

You're better off not getting it from the Disney Store, as during what the home video industry calls "Week 1", prices at the nation's biggest retailers will be very competitive.

As for editions, both the Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy pack and the Standard Single-Disc DVD edition will be released the same day (though, I suspect the bigger discount will apply to the Blu-ray version).

Did I missed something? I see the $10 coupons but I don't see anything about lithographs on Disneystore.com.
