Pre-order meals for BOG

Well, it took me half a day of searching for a reservation (began online at 6AM and had the same problems as others), but I was finally able to get one for lunch for our trip next week.

Question: Does anyone know if we will be able to pre-order our meals for the QS lunch? If so, where do I go to do this? There's nothing in my reservation details that indicates that I can do it. I know, prior to today, there was a BOG FP site you could log into, and place your order there. Will there be something like that now that it is ADR for lunch?

I've been wondering this too. I know we're supposed to be able to pre-order anywhere from 30 days to 5 minutes before your reservations, but I haven't read or heard anything about where we're supposed to do this.

I have done an internet search, and I see where the "pre-order" link is suppose to appear in MDE, but its not there.
The pre-order link in my email confirmation is also not working. After all we have been through today I'm just Happy/lucky to have an ADR booked and confirmed. But I do hope the link to pre-order will work at some point.

Keep checking back. I can access the pre order link in MDE or via the confirmation email it's there too. I made my lunch adr around 1 am est (last night...I figured I'd give it a shot since I'm both a night owl and have experienced the craziness when phone lines open for special events and it paid off for me this time)...anyway it's showed up in both places. The email was a little slower than usual getting here but I can access the pre order link in both places.

There is another thread entitled "BOG Pre-ordering question" under the Disney Restaraunt forum (versus this sub-forum). Check out Donaldsgal posts there. She has step by step instructions and screenshots. Plus, a good sense of humor. I'll try to quote her below, too.

I am within my 30 day booking window (March 7, 2015). Prepare to make me your new best friend.

1) This is the page where all of your reservations are located. I focused the screenshot on the reservation in question. Notice that between the blacked out lines, it reads "Place Meal Order."

2) If you click on "Place Meal Order," it takes you to this screen (I had to crop part of the image of the restaurant to get this to upload. Suffice it to say the main attraction is the "Start Order" green button at the bottom).

8) Remember the plus sign inside the circle next to each menu item? Click on that, and the menu item pops up. You then click "Add to Order" to, well, add to your order.View attachment 79766

9) What if you want something prepared differently than listed, like the carved turkey sandwich? Well, you can check what you might want omitted from the item. Click/unclick as needed, and again, click "Add to Order."

10) Once you're done ordering something, you'll see it show up on "Order Summary," found on the righthand side on the page showing the full menu. "Review Order" is the next step.

11) When you've made all your selections, click "Review Order" and you're taken to this screen. You review your order and then "Place Order." View attachment 79763

13) If you want to change your mind, go back in to the reservation and click on "Place Meal Order" again. It will show what you have already placed as an order. See the "Cancel Order" button?

Oh, and we did NOT receive a link to pre-order in the confirmation email. The link to pre-order, for us, ONLY shows up on the MDE reservations page.

Thanks for posting this. I wasn't going to pre order as our daughter is a really picky eater but now that I can see that we can omit things from the order this should save us time at the kiosk.

I just got a new laptop and haven't set everything up so instead of a screen shot I just took a pic of my email confirmation for bog. you can see the menu link just under the confirmation number. It's an active link that takes me to the same web pages as Floridaglen posted above.

If the link is not in the email, check the reservation in MDE - there should be a link there.

For those that are not within their 30 days - my MDE has the date when I can place the advance order right below the confirmation number.

I just finished ordering our March 18th lunch. I did it through MDE. Clicked on our reservation & the 'place order' link. Steps are as described by Donaldsgal - thanks!

Sorry I should have clarified our bog date is 3/25 so we're within the 30 day window.
