Pre-park opening character breakfasts??
Hi

We are planning an early February trip next year (arriving on Superbowl weekend) and are considering the following breakfasts:
8 am Askherus
8 am CRT
8 am CP
8 am H&V
CM (not sure about this time yet).

Our experience with an 8am CP reservation last time was that we were done shortly after park opening. I'm worried that Askherus and CRT will take much longer and we'll miss the first half hour or so of park time. Should I consider moving these times?

We may also end up at MK during EMH. If we do, would the latest CRT breakfast reservation be a good idea or should we look at lunch because the park will get crowded by then?

We are sensitive to cost as we are paying out of pocket and are from Canada so we are looking at a 30% mark up on everything.

Thanks!!

Hello to a fellow Canadian :wave2:
I feel your pain on the exchange :crazy2:
We always do pre-park opening at CP (our favourite!)
We also enjoy Akershus each trip; however, with Epcot often having rope drop around 8:40am (in our experience) on a 9:00am opening day, the 8:00am breakfast might not be finished (and at the price of Akershus, you don't want to rush out before you're finished). Our strategy at Epcot is arrive for rope drop and ride as much as possible before a 10:30/10:45am breakfast. It keeps us going until supper. We then use our FP+ after our breakfast at Akershus. That way we get almost 2 hours of prime time park touring in while crowds are lower, then we take a break at Akershus. The other restaurants you mentioned we've been to, but not for breakfast, so we can't speak to them.
Good luck with your planning and fingers crossed for the dollar to improve:cutie:

Agree with pp that it may be tough to get in and finished with CRT or Akershus before the RD crowd hits and you shouldn't have to rush through an expensive meal or risk missing one of the characters. We also like 8am CP, but did CRT at 10:30 last year. I think pp strategy works great to RD and take advantage of that and then break for a late breakfast. I also think breakfast at Akershus and CRT is overkill in the same trip. You're seeing basically the same princesses at both and neither has amazing food for the prices they charge. I would pick one and use that money for a less expensive character breakfast meal or souvenirs :thumbsup2
