Pre night at Marriott Marquis before Bermuda cruise

Just booked our pre night at Marriott Marquis Hotel with RT ground transportation to the port.
Has anyone ever done this and if so can you tell me how the transportation works?
So used to leaving out of PC and having our pre night at Hyatt or WDW resort so still a little confused how it works out of NYC.
