Hi,

Got a cruise booked for next August with us flying in from Australia. Won't be doing the parks since
It's just about 40 hours that we would be at the resort. There are usually great offers that time of year so wondering what you thought.
PORQ to give us DS access? Or go the Poly or CR since it's only 2 nights and would allow us to see if we like them for our next trip?

After the cruise
We are booked at the GF...

Thoughts?

I would go to the Poly to check it out for next trip. The Poly is beautiful, with great dining, tropical atmosphere, nice pool and easy access to the MK and Epcot. I know that you say you won't be going to a park, but it is nice to see how easy it is to get around from here plus you might change your mind. Meanwhile, you can watch the fireworks from the beach (or maybe your room depending upon the view you book).

Enjoy!

I agree :thumbsup2.

We like to stay at Beach Club or Yacht Club pre-cruise. We don't do parks then, either but the pool is amazing. It's nice to walk around the Boardwalk area in the evening, as well.

Thanks for your replies:) I had a bad experience at the YC and don't want to bring up memories, so I have left it at the ml deluxes for now:) I was thinking POR for the access to DS, but I think you have swayed me to the Poly:) I will investigate discounts when they come out, but it would nice to see the fireworks and then DS during the day:)

Just to add: since you're going to be enjoying the resort rather than the parks, maybe look at club level? Just a thought.

Happymommy, it's like you read my
Mind!!!

I will look at cost, but it might be worth it:)

Compare resort prices for that - we did AKL once club level, and it was fabulous! We spent most of our time at the resort. I think the monorail resorts can be quite high, but that year we got a great price!

We are doing a cruise next spring and are staying at the Poly for one night pre cruise.

We are scheduled to arrive at MCO 6 am the morning before on a redeye. We have a one day MYW ticket with water parks. We plan to use the ticket to do MK in the morning, and then relax at the resort/pool in the afternoon, followed by dinner at 'Ohana (depending on how we feel, we'll either crash after dinner, watch Wishes from the beach, or, if we're feeling energetic enough, go into MK for Wishes).

The next morning, we plan to have breakfast at Kona then just hang out at the resort until the bus takes us to the cruise terminal.

After the cruise, we have one night planned at AKL (with both dinner and the next morning's breakfast at Boma). Since a one day MYW ticket with water parks gives you 2 water park visits, we plan to hit the water parks the day after the cruise and on the following day (before catching a late flight home).

Are we on the same cruise, lol?

4 night Dream leaving 4/25?

We too are doing AKL for 2 nights after the cruise. We are currently booked at AoA for two nights prior, but are considering Poly too. :)
