Pre booking seats!

We booked flights and hotel direct with Disney (flying with virgin) when can I pre book our seats together? When I spoke to some one at virgin they said I would receive confirmation through the post but I still haven't booked 4 weeks ago! Should I ring? I have recieved an email from Disney with flight info and hotel info!

We booked ours direct through Virgin website even though we went through a different agent and are flying in July x

As you are flying after November you can not pre-book seats at the moment. This is from the VA site:

We are making some improvements to our seat assignment process. In order to minimise the impact of these changes on our passengers, we need to restrict the number of seats allocated within the system, throughout the period of development. From 9th January 2012 we will only be able to offer advanced seat selection for flights departing before 01 November 2012. This policy applies in every cabin. We will add any updates on progress to our website and when the system changes have been completed, we will once again open up seat assignment to 336 days before each flight.

Please don’t forget that all seats, on every flight will be available to select when check-in opens (this is at -24 hours for mobile and on-line check in). In exceptional circumstances some seat allocations may be moved due to operational requirements.

Ok thank you! I was worried I was going to miss it and not be sat any where near each other and I would be the one trying to control DD whilst DH sleeps 8 hours lol!

Gotta love it - we have the interesting situation of flying out to Hong Kong on oct 26 and flying back on nov 6th...we could choose our outbound seats but should get an email when we can book our return flight seats. Our booking ref has our "preferred" seats for the return (same as outbound) on it but this can't be guarenteed. At least they don't charge for pre-booking like others do, or like some airlines you can't choose till you check-in
