Pre - booking question - What to request at VWL & SSR?

Hi

Just wondering what requests I should make for studios at these two resorts?

Have no idea about VWL, but at SSR I was thinking Congress Park (DTD view).

Anything else?

Are requests assigned at check in, or prior to this? Just wondering if there is more chance getting the requests fulfilled by checking in early.

My question is along the same lines. We have a 1BR at SSR for Oct. 13 - 16 9Sa - Tue) and will go to MNSSHP on Sunday. We have a 4year old daughter and I am going to the spa Sunday morning - and DD to the pool or playground while we rest up for the big party that night. With that in mind, should we be making a room location request? I have heard that the Grandstand is good, and Springs as well. The view of DTD is less important and we will have a car, so pool and spa access is probably the key here, though we thought we might take the boat to DTD on Sat. night for dinner. Advice on how that works would be appreciated as well (wait time, etc..).
