Praying we don't have to evacuate...

The brook on our street is overflowing....not sure how fast streets become flooded, but there is a chance we will have evacuate. DH and my dad are working nonstop getting water out of basement. Yes, we have flood insurance.
Anyone else having problems like this?

No flooding by our apartment, but I had to drive through )what the TV said was) 2 feet of water on route 46 by the Hackensack River bridge on my way home. Scary stuff.

We made about 60 sandbags to TRY to keep the water in one area of basement.

Yup, we're on Lodi over on the Hasbrouck Heights border. Hopefully today will bring some better weather

Nope, supposed to rain 2-4 more inches! AHHHHHHH!!!!! COuldn't wash my hair because the drain was backing up. At least there wasn't much rain overnight so the brook isn't worse YET.

My sil is in Oakland and her house is now an island.....last I heard they got several inches in the basement....

I can't believe the police did not close that part of River Road in Hackensack!!

The end of my street was closed last night...the first time I ever remember them doing that.... Oh and Thats funny about towns with "Brook" in the name...I guess "Ferry" is not too good to have either(I'm in Little Ferry)....HAHAHA

looks like all of Bergen County is under water! yeah, I know, an exaggerations, but really.

as David Letterman said, the region is thisclose to being ignored by FEMA.
