Corey is on her way to the town that her company's home office is in about 2 hours from our home. Tomorrow is a big day for her, because she is going to start the process towards a promotion. She has to take several tests and do a series of interviews in order to get the promotion. She works for a software company and has been with them for almost 3 years now. The promotion comes with a raise, which we are uncertain as to how much it will be, but any raise is better than the nothing that she has had the last 3 years.

Corey is very nervous because, while she is totally comfortable with the one aspect of the software that she trains people on all of the time, the other side of the software, well, she just doesn't use it or train others on it, so she isn't that strong in product knowledge. She has to be able to use both aspects of the software in order to be promoted. Her job duties won't change much after the promotion, but it does set her up to be one of two or three people to go to the next level, which there will be a position opening there very soon. At that next level, Corey can work from home. Needless to say, after 3 years of constant travel, she very much looks forward to being at that level.

Please, if you have the chance to send some good thoughts and prayers her way, I would certainly appreciate it. She needs all of the help that she can get. She did fine on her practice tests, but she is very anxious about the real test(s) that she will be taking tomorrow. I think she will do just fine, but I figure that a few good thoughts and prayers added to what we are putting out there can't hurt a thing.

TIA :grouphug:

Lot's of good thoughts coming from Rochester. Good Luck!!

Portland Oregon has Corey in their prayers! Lindy too!

Part one, the part that she knows very well is done. She passed with a 97.12%!

The next part is the nail biter. It starts at 1pm and lasts for 2 hours. Keep the prayers and good thoughts coming folks.

Thank you! :grouphug:

We are still not out of the woods yet. She will also have survive oral exams and interviews. The oral exams also require her to have the ability to use and teach both aspects of the software. Those tests happen tomorrow. Interviews happen on Wednesday.

Thanks for your help so far. :grouphug:

Big thanks to everyone here that helped from afar! Corey's testing schedule got bumped up and she was able to finish today. She passed both aspects with a 100%. :woohoo:

We are going out for a celebratory dinner at Longhorn. Nothing says success like a big hunk of red meat and some chocolate. :lmao:

Thanks again guys! :grouphug:

Congratulations!

Think of all the extra Disney cash you will have! :cool1:

Wicked!!!! Thanks for letting us know the wonderful news. Congratulations to Corey! I hope the dinner was yummy. :goodvibes

Dinner was good, we skipped the chocolate. Corey went for the Desert Pear Margarita instead. :thumbsup2

The extra money is going to the house fund. Part of the reason that we are not going to WDW together in 2009 is that we have several projects that we want to tackle here at home. Hardwood flooring is at the top of the list for the living room, kitchen, and hallway. We would love to put it down throughout, but we can only stand so much of our lives being turned upside down at one time. lol
