Prayers Please

I mostly lurk here, but I do believe in the power of prayer very much. I am asking for prayers for my 15 yr old DD.

Yesterday afternoon, she met with our minister to discuss something that together she shared with us last night. She is depressed & having some eating disorders.

We had NO warning signs, a B+ student who is very active. Luckily she had the strength & wisdom to admit that she needs help.

I forsee a very long road...but she took a giant step by sharing this with us & our minister. While I am very proud of her, I am also very frightened. Sleep was minimal if any last night.

Just sharing this helps me...thank you each for your prayers & for listening!

And what a good place to come and ask, poohlover. Your daughter took probably the biggest step yesterday, acknowledging she has a problem and being open about it. That is great. Frightened? I am guessing by your daughters strength to seek help for her problem that you all have a very strong and close family. Admitting there is a problem is the biggest step! Prayers for your daughter and your entire family.
