They are both 60, have adult children. They are from Calgary Alberta Canada were in Victoria (Vancouver Canada area) visiting his family. The accident was on Tuesday. They were riding a motorcycle that belonged to his brother. Unfamiliar with both the motorcycle and the road they loss control on a curve. I hope this isn't too much to share, feels better getting it out.

DH's Aunt is taking it hard because, she is living here in Niagara Ontario and can not fly (Health) out West for the funeral. DH's cousin and husband were originally from Ontario. We are considering a Memorial service for family and friends here.

I am sorry I did not get a chance to reply until now. I was one of those dumb people who decided to go to Hollywood Studios for 9/13 (very poorly managed) and stayed out at the resort.

I can understand how hard it must be for the mother (DH's aunt). I think having a service where you are would be very fitting. Feel free talking anything you need to talk out with us. I lost my dad back in February and my mom and I wrote about it here. It was helpful just to get things off our chest even if for a few minutes it made us feel better.

Has there been any update on the husband? I feel bad for the bother as he must be feeling some guilt even though they were adults and made their own decision. Hopefully he can come to terms with it okay.

My DH Cousin's husband has been released from hospital, today. He suffered non life threatening injuries. However, he did injure a lung. He is staying at his brother's home on the island. His 2 grown daughters went out west from
here (Toronto Ontario) mid week.

Their mother has been cremated. When he can fly they will take him home to Calgary. We found out his christian name is Ted (we call him John), a nickname. We are holding a memorial in Ontario, as soon as he is able to attend.
