Prayers Please?

Hi friends, I don't post very often at all anymore but I hope it's okay that I ask for some p&pd? I am 17 1/2 weeks pregnant with our second child and was admitted to the hospital today due to a shortened cervix. They are treating it with Progesterone & may do an emergency cerclage that will stitch me shut. (sorry if TMI) The perinatologist gave a 30-50 % chance of baby making it to viability.

I have a little ds at home who will be 2 on Friday. I had the same issues with him while I was pregnant but problems started later znd I was able to keep him baking until 33 weeks.

I would be so thankful for any good thoughts sent our way.

I went through the same thing with my son and did progesterone injections daily for 5 weeks. I tried to go into labor at 27 weeks (from dehydration) and held on until 37 weeks.

Sending prayers. I had a cerclage (sp???) put in when I was about 19 weeks pregnant for the same problem. I remember at the time my cervix was so short that they weren't even sure if there was enough left to stitch (it had gotten VERY short). The got it in and it held.. Around 24 weeks I started getting regular contractions (every 5 minutes) non stop until I delivered at almost 36 weeks. The cerclage is strong and kept me from dilating that entire time. they call it a "stitch" but it's more like a durable (not sure what it's made of) piece of cloth that holds, so it's much stronger than a piece of thread. Sending hugs and prayers. This same thing happened to my husband's cousin for all 3 of her pregnancies. She was able to hold on until 8 months. I'm hoping the same or better for you.
