My mom has been hospitalized for the past 10 days and we were told yesterday that there is not much more they can do for her, but to make her comfortable. My family is my life and she is not only my mom, but also one of my best friends. I've told her that it's ok and that we'll be ok, that I love her so very much and that I am so very proud of her. We talked about all the good times we've had and all the wonderful memories. I regret now not taking her with me on my last trip to WDW, though. She was thinking about going, but since she was just returning from another trip and heading out again a few months later, she thought it would be too much for her. There is still a slight chance of her getting better, but with each day, that hope is slowly fading. We know she won't be alone, since my dad, her brother & mom are waiting for her, but it still does not make things any easier. I don't want her to suffer and it breaks my heart out seeing her like this. I just wish there was more I can do for her, but know that this is out of my hands and in God's now. I also wish there was more I could do for my family, but again am at a loss. She always loved "Can You Feel The Love Tonight & The Circle of Life" from the Lion King. I want to be so strong for her and my family, but it's so hard. :worried: :sad1: :sad2:

Any prayers, pixie dust or thoughts are appreciated.

I know I would feel the same way if thathappened to my mom! Thinking about you and your family!:grouphug:

:grouphug: I said a prayer for your Mom, and am sending some Pixie Dust your way. I truly hope she overcomes the odds and gets better soon.

Prayers are being said for your dear Mom and for you during this difficult time. Hold her hand, talk to her, be with her....I know you wish you could do more but just being with her will be enough.

your mom and your family are in my prayers. for you.

Prayers and PD heading north.

I hate to ask this, but one thing that needs to be done is arrangements made. Have they been? Do know what she'd like to wear?

I had to go through this when we found out my mom was terminal. They gave her less than 6 weeks. She wasn't ready until 6 months later. But the questions needed to be asked, and we both talked about what we wanted because you never know with life.
Your mom may live a good long while yet, and you know about the proverbial bus, your family needs to know your wishes too.

I just said a prayer for her and I've learned from here that they do wonders. I'm hoping for the best.

I can't imagine the pain you must be going through now :sad1:
{{{{HUGS}}}} and ****pixie dust**** heading your way :grouphug:

I'm so sorry about your mom. I went through it 3 years ago with my mom. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

If there really is nothing the drs can do for her... you may want to consider hospice. It is a very difficult decision to come to grips with but they offer so much assistance during a difficult time. They were a Godsend for my mom and for my sister and I as well. Very supportive emotionally.

prayer said, best of luck, and btw they had my grandad "comfortable" for 6 years after his major heart attack, we lost him after he mowed the yard, planted three large trees, and removed a section of concrete sidewalk to no where from his yard the day he went home.

Prayers for your mom, you and your family. Peace and strength to you during this difficult time.
