Prayers needed, micro preemie

Hi folks -

I'd appreciate a prayer for my good friend. Her SIL delivered a baby at 26 weeks this morning - he's only 1 lb 12 oz. The doctors are as optimistic as they can be in this situation, but he's so tiny. He & his parents really need our prayers & good thoughts. If you have a moment today to think about Baby O the family would really appreciate it.

My dd was only 1#15.5 oz @ birth, 29 wks. She's now 12, in middle school and perfectly fine. Modern medicine is wonderful. Many prayers for your friends baby.

Good thoughts coming your way! It is shocking to see those babies so small and taking so much effort to just breathe but they can do just fine in the long run. As an estimate expect the baby to remain in the hospital until when they were supposed to be born. It sounds like a long time but that baby has a lot of growing to do until he can go home! My cousin's baby was this small but he's now 18 years old and finished his first year at university.

My thoughts and prayers are with Baby O and his family. My youngest is alive thanks to an angel in nurse's scrubs in our hospital's NICU. Those dr's and nurses are the best of the best. May God hold that baby in the palm of His hand and strengthen him each day.

As the mother of 2 preemies I wish them much luck and my thoughts are with them. It is a long hard road but so worth it.
