Prayers Needed And Warning

Sorry you and your family have to go through this. Prayers and pixie dust to you, your DH, and the medical staff. Let us know how he makes out.

GREAT idea to get on the bad side of the person who holds your husband's life in his hands. People hint at a lawsuit with me, and I send them out the door. They can start over with someone else. You should either kiss some major butt or find a new doctor, because I guarantee when those test results come in in the future, they will not go to the top of his "to call" pile. That's my warning. Flame shield .

I think there's a big difference between a heart doctor and a petsmart vet.

MM my thoughts are with you.

MM, best wishes and prayers are with your hubby and you both. Hope all goes well in the days ahead. Update when you can.

Keeping you and your DH in my thoughts and prayers.

I think there's a big difference between a heart doctor and a petsmart vet.

There may be a big difference in a heart doctor and a vet but my cats are my BABIES and I would expect the same treatment from a vet concerning my pets that I would expect from a heart doctor concerning my health.

Human or animal shouldn't matter.....what should matter is that the Dr., regardless of the type is doing the job that he/she is trained in to the best of His/Her ability!

ITA - which is why I would have very real reservations about using any type of doctor that made comments about keeping important medical information to himself/herself, rather than passing it on in a timely fashion.

Putting important info at the bottom of the "to call" pile in a fit of pique is just asking for a lawsuit IMO.

MM - sorry to hear that. Keeping both of you in my prayers.

Marla'sMom,

Thinking of you and your DH and hoping for the best. The best line of "defense" in any part of the country is to stay "in the know" and ask a lot of questions. I'm sure you have already, but read up on everything there is to know about the procedure, the risks and the possible outcomes. Stay on top of everything they do and say and give your DH. If you are unsure about something, ask and ask and ask again. Many terrible things have been prevented by family members who are "in the know"

Crash course in cardiology anyone?

Take Care MM, we're all routing for your DH!

Barb, of course, I'll be thinking about and praying for you and Roy. And I will remember to say prayers for him at Mass this Sunday--remember, that worked once before.

Difficult as it is, try to stay calm. Roy will need you to be strong for him.

Take care of yourself. {{hug}}

Perhaps I misread mm's explanation, but I took it as she was pointing out to that as a paralegal, she understands the importance of always writing down to whom you are speaking when dealing with such important stuff.

Makes sense. But you can see why a doc would be particularly sensitive to an interchange like that. Some days they spend more time being threatened with lawsuits than they have time to practice medicine.

BTW, prayers and good wishes! I'm sure he'll do well! Hope he's felling well soon afterward!

oh Brenda- don't you get tired of always being right. lol Besides that I was overwrought. I'm usually pretty level headed but this time ----. Thanks for your support.

yep....I obviously misread the post as well. Sorry.

Good Luck!
