Prayers for dd's friend and family pleaseUPDATE SHE;S GONE

Can everyone please say a prayer for DD16's friend? Her mom went to our local clinic late last week with flu symptoms....they sent her to the ER where an ultrasound found fluid around her heart...She was taken by ambulance to Regions hospital and then from there flown by helicopter to Mayo clinic.

She is on a vent, heart bypass, and kidney dialysis from H1N1 complications.

She is a single mom to 3 kids and is only in her 40's..

Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers..

UPDATE Nov 3, It is with sadness that I report that Debbie passed away this afternoon from complications of H1N1...Please keep her 3 children in your prayers as they will need strenghth to get through this.

I know her dd that is my dd's friend is 16, the one son is also in HS and not sure about the other two..I'm thinking they are older as well. From her guest book on caringbridge.org, they sound like they have a HUGE support system, so I think someone close is helping with the kids. My dd said the son was at school today and looked awful and everyone asked why he was there...I'm sure the poor guy probably was just trying to keep his mind off things..

Apparently, they have been at the hospital since this started Thurs...she didn't get to the one hospital until 1:30 a.m. then to the other at 3:30 a.m so its been some long rough nights for them all.

Thanks everyone...I will pass your well wishes on to dd's friend.

Just a bit of unsolicited advice- I'd remove that link if I were you. I've seen people get crazy stalker on the Dis in the past. Caution never hurts.

I agree-and now everyone knows her name and what town she lives in and that she is not home.

I hope all works out--thankfully she has the option of one of the Mayo hospitals (and not Regions ).

Thank you -- I have posted on Debbie's website. We used Caringbridge when our granddaughter had cancer 2 years ago. It was a blessing to be able to communicate to so many people so quickly.
