Prayers for a friend

I received an email from a friend of mine and her mother is in desperate need of prayers. I know the power of prayer is awesome and so many of you have said prayers for me before and I hope you will once again. You see, my friend who is in her mid 30's lost her DH two years ago and if she were to lose her mother now I think it would absolutely destroy her. Here is her email:

Hi Everyone~
Please say a prayer for my Mom. Shes been in ICU since Sunday. To make a long story short, she hasnt been feeling well since Christmas time.... She didnt eat or even get out of bed for a week, on Sunday she finally had an ambulance come get her. After hours of many, many tests they found she had a bowel obstruction, so they put a tube in her nose & down to her tummy to pump some stuff out. Then after a cat scan they found immediate surgery was needed. Her small intestine had a tear in it & everything that was flowing through them was leaking into her stomach & was poisoning her. They said it was lethal & if she waited 24 more hours she wouldnt have made it.
Then they found her colon was very inflamed, so they removed part of it & also a few inches of her intestines, she now has a "colostopy" (sp?) bag. They also found they her liver was not even recognizable & is only functioning at 25%. So, she is in MUCH need of ALL the prayers she can get! This is a women who has prayed for everyone for years, so its her turn to get them back! We are keeping positive & believing she will pull through this, she is a strong, faithful women!!! I have basically been living there, I come home to get the kids to bed & go back up, come home to get them ready for school & go back up! Please say some prayers for her. Thanks.
