Prayers and Pixie Dust Needed Please

Hello,

We are dog-sitting a Cairn Terrier named Jackie. Somehow tonight, he disappeared between about 5 and 6:30. We have no idea where or when he got out and it's not like him to go outside, even if the door is standing open. I am looking after this dog for a dear friend of mine and this dog is her whole life. I am absolutely sick at the thought of her losing him.

Please take just a tiny moment to say a little prayer or send some pixie dust my way. I just have to find this dog. We are sick about it. I'm counting on the power of prayer now becuase I have done everything I can do.

Try calling Humane Society/Pound in your area. This happened to our very old and very slow dashund. I was frantic, but confused as there is no way she could have gotten more than 20 ft from our house. In any event, when I called around she was at the local city pound. Thoughts are with you!!

Thanks for your kind words. I have called the local shelter and they are on standby. I'm hoping someone has brought him in for the night and will call the in the morning. a couple of months ago, I found a beagle wandering around and that's what I did...I'm hoping someone will do the same for me.

I have a Cairn Terrier and grew up with them... they all have wandered off. Not run off like some dogs but kind of sniffed here and sniffed there and then they were lost. My dogs growing up were gone for a weekend until someone found them and called us. My dog now comes back as I am shaking the Milk Bone box down the street. We now have invisible fencing for this reason.

I do wonder if he went home?

WE FOUND JACKIE!!!!

He was stuck behind the "spare socks" laundry hamper under my dressing table. He didn't make a peep! Thanks everyone! Now I can sleep tonight.

Just found your thread - so glad to read the happy ending!!!

We had a meter reader enter our back yard thru the gate several years ago & when he left he didn't latch it securely. When we got home from work we put our 2 shelties outside & when we went to let them back in they were gone. One was recovered 4 days later & very glad to see her family. The other was never found. Even after more than 10 years it still haunts me. So I'm especially glad that you found your friend's Jackie.
