Prayers and PD for my little guy.(Update pg. 4)

Sounds like my husband's flu. He had a temperature all week and slept a lot but hardly any other symptoms. His head hurt a lot of the time and he developed a cough at the end. It really wiped him out.

The worst part...he had a flu shot in the fall.

I know it's not as common in boys, but have they tested for a UTI? When my DD was about 15 months old, she ran a high (105 at times :guilty: ) fever for about a week before they finally figured out that she had a UTI. Her pediatrician was great though having us come in every other day until they got the results back. Being so young, she couldn't tell us what hurt so we just had to keep guessing. Once we figured it out, the antibiotics licked it quick and she was fine. Just a thought. I'll say a prayer :grouphug:

Hope he is feeling much better soon. I know how alwful it is when you child is sick. :grouphug:

Sending prayers your way! DS gets really bad chest colds - he had pneumonia once. Usually when he gets a cold it automatically means antibiotics - and I stay up all night watching him sleep.

Hope he's feeling better real soon!

:tink: PD for him..I have had a bug for about 10 days with muscle pains, fever, cough and sneezing.

Thank you everyone! I'm taking him back to the Dr. again today. His temp shot up to 106.0 last night. The Dr. actually told me not to worry if it went up that high - but he's so limp its hard for not to worry. When they took his xrays yesterday - he couldn't even hold his arms over his head...I had to hold them up for him.

Hopefully this is just a really bad virus that's got a hold on him.

Thanks for your prayers.

I'd be worried sick.

I know that when my kids had high fevers the main concern was dehydration.

I hope he's doing better soon.

Is Motrin helping to bring down the fever??

I took my DS back to the Ped. 3 times in one week when he was about that age. He DID have pneumonia and the Dr. "missed it". But since Luke had the xrays, it must be something else. Does sound a lot like when my kids had the real flu. It was 7 days of high fever. They have received the shot ever since then.

Keep us posted. Will pray he wakes up feeling better and drinks a little.

I hope you insist on some bloodwork done.

Hope you're baby is feeling better real soon. As another poster, said, go with you're gut when you don't feel things are right, motherly instinct is a powerful thing.

I hope that he starts to feel better soon! :goodvibes

Sending lot of good thoughts your way. I hope he is back to his normal self very soon.

I hope your little man starts to feel better very soon! It's so hard when little ones are sick and we can't do anything to help them. :worried:

Prayers for your little guy. Glad your bringing him back today. Please let us know how he is doing when you get a chance. Your in my thoughts!!!

Prayers and PD for your little Luke. Could it possibly be mono or Lymes disease? Just a thought, since you said he wasn't able to stay awake. That could be dehydration also though. Whatever it is I hope the doctors will have him back to his self real soon. Please keep us posted!

I'd be worn out with worry, Heather, and I am sure you are too. Always so tough when our little ones are aching. My best and prayers for him, and you too. Hope you can update with a positive soon.
