I hope it is OK to request this here. We just got word that a friend of ours who has been like a grandfather to my children is in ICU. It was discovered that his heart ruptured. On Monday the Dr. will decide IF he is stable enough for surgery in Boston. This man has shown more interest and care in our children than their own biological grandfathers, so this is really upsetting for us. Thanks!

Updated The last word we have received is that our friend will be going to Boston this week- waiting for a bed to open so not sure on the day. They are going to do heart surgery and try to repair the damage. His blood pressure was high and they have finally gotten that down to normal and they discovered that he also had an underlying infection and he is also being treated for that. We've had to sit the kids down and "prepare them" in case the surgery is not a success. Sending a photo of them to the hospital to take with him to Boston. Thanks for your continued thoughts and prayers.
