Does anyone else here have prayer time and/or devotions at work? Since I work for a Christian organization we have our morning prayer time/devotions daily. It really does help the day get off to a good start. The last job (at another Christian organization) I had we were REQURIED to attend devotions each day. That took any joy you could get from it though. So I somehow would miss about one day a week from devotions. I didn't mean to, it just happened that way.

I know that only Christian organization employees will have the prayer time/devotions. But I'm just wondering if anyone else here has them.

Many years ago I worked for the Presbyterian Church & every Monday morning the day would start with chapel. Just like a mini church service, sing hymns etc........It was great & really made me look forward to going into work on a Monday morning.:) :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I have never worked anywhere where they do that but many people I know do have devotions at work. They have the same opinion as you. :)
I work alone but try to have private time each morning with God. It makes a huge difference in my day also. :)

I once applied for a job at a Christian organization. They opened with a prayer each morning. And it was great to see an open bible on someone's desk!

The place I work has had a Bible study group that meets at 6am on Wednesday mornings and would finish before the regular work day began, it was optional for anyone that wanted to participate since we are a state run facility they couldn't really do it during working hours.

some of the waitstaff where I worked in 2001 had a unoffical prayer time before shift. It really came in handy since I was there on 9/11

Yes, I worked for a Christian college.

I studied the Bible with workmates, and felt free to invite them to church services and such.

I do pray/read/ everyday myself now (been doing it forever), now that I am a SAHM.. actually did it before i was working at the college.

Its great to see in non Christian/religious settings. I kind of expected it in the College, churches, but in a secular setting, that is rare, but very welcome.
