Prayer request please. Update pg 3 keep praying please!

DH is having a terrible time with his job right now.

This job is killing him. He has migraines and gets depressed easily and he doesnt sleep well at all. I have never seen him like this.
He has tried to leave before but nothing has ever happened with it. I think he is really at the end now.

I think he is actually going to quit, he doesnt have anything else lined up yet but several good leads. He just feels trapped

He has been there 10 years and they just dont seem to care. There is no loyalty on their part.

We would be ok for a few months but he would go crazy if he doesnt find something really soon.


I think we are just being led to step out in faith here but it is so scary! I know that we really need to listen to what the Grand Plan is but it isnt easy.

Anyway, if you could all pray for guidance for us at this point I would really appreciate it.

I'll be thinking of him. There's nothing worse than being stuck in a job you hate, but to have to stay there because you've got bills to pay.

Best wishes for him - my DH was in a job just like that for years and finally cracked. We emptied our 401K's to send him to school and now he's in a job he loves. I hope things work out as well for you guys - hang in there - things will get better.

I've said a prayer Binny.

There isn't much worse than a DH in a job that he hates and wants away from. My DH kept a job for many years that he grew to hate because of his boss. It was awful and until the boss made a personal attack with me involved, DH stuck it out. At that point, though, he walked out. It was very scarey. We went a little over a year before he had a regular fulltime job! I wouldn't recommended quitting before you have something else lined up but that is just old wisdom that we all know and sometimes we need to do what we need to do. BTW, within that 14month period (which you may even remember) he never failed one week to bring a paycheck of some sort into this house.
I am very supportive of whatever DH chooses as long as he is happy. I've been with him twice through jobs that made him miserable and it was NOT nice. I'd rather change my style of living than live with a man who hates his job!!

Good luck to him. Just be there for him and encourage him. I am sure life is tough for him right now.

I'm so sorry. My husband has a boss who is the most negative man on the face of the earth. When he is being decent, it is tolerable, but he flips out every once in a while. The man has never even said "Thank You!" Ever.

DH goes thru spells of being miserable, but hates to leave his job. There are parts and people that he likes.

I hope and pray that you find an answer soon for your sweety, and the rest of you!

Oh I know how hard it is to step out in faith. It's scary but tends to be very rewarding. Remember that He has you in the palm of His hand and He will take excellent care of you. Follow His lead and you'll never be led astray.

My prayers are with you and your DH in this difficult time. I know (to some extent) what it is like. I worked in a call center for about a year. For the last 6 months I was beyond miserable. It was almost to the point where I wanted to drive my car into a tree so I'd break my leg and could stay home from work. I threw up every day for about a month from all the stress.

Anyway- they restructured the department and they weren't going to be able to work with my school schedule anymore. So, I turned in my resignation. I didn't have another job or anything. I just couldn't work there anymore. That was on a Friday. The next day, I went to buy my books from the bookstore and the police officer on duty was a close family friend. I mentioned to him that I was unemployed, so he told me to talk to the manager (who happened to be someone who went to my church). She needed people and hired me on the spot. I started two days later on Monday. One way or another God will bless and provide for you and your family.

Thank you all so much. He is really discouraged.

He has 2 interviews next week and we are praying so hard that something comes of one of them. It is hard to keep the faith in times like these but I just *feel* like there is something out there do you know what I mean? Like its just coming around the corner and I have to WAIT for it and Be STILL which I dont do well. I dont DO still.

A friend emailed me and said that she is getting the "Be still and know that I am God" message when she prays about this. I emailed her back and said that I dont do still. LOL I know I need to though.

Thanks for all of the prayers and good thoughts. I cant tell you how much they mean to me. We can use whatever prayer cover we can get. I havent cried this much in ages.

I know it's scary to make that step of faith. I've recently been there and it was very hard to "step over the faith line" so-to-speak. But if your DH's health is deteriorating (which is looks as if it already is) then it's time for him to get out of there. Can he collect unemployement while he looks for another job?

Both of you need to have faith and not doubt. I know with me, it's very hard to do b/c I tend to focus on the negative and the problem rather than God. When I'm able to shift my focus towards Him, I/we come out fine. God will provide everything you need; just have faith in Him. He keeps his promises and will not let you fall.
