Prada perfume on Amazon.com?

For Chirstmas, my mom would like Prada by Prada for Women Eau de Parfum Spray 2.7 oz. She printed out a page from amazon for me and said I could get it there for $57.95 (our budget is $50, so this would be her only gift).

Has anyone ever bought designer fragrances for amazon? I am concerned that it will not be exactly the same item, or it won't be in a new retail box. The reviews are kind of mixed. The drop down box on the item has a long list to choose from, so maybe some people ordered the wrong item? I added it to my cart, and it looks fine, but then when I click on the item from my cart, the photo changes. Also, the wording in the description is that the packging may have changed. The one I selected is from amazon itself, not a marketplace seller, if that makes a difference.

This item is $100 in dept stores. Any suggestions on where else to get a good deal? Do you think the amazon offer is legit?

i have never bought fragrance from there. i know sometimes it is sold at a discount because it is older and stores will no longer accept it from the factory, or because of changes in packaging. is there an outlet mall near you? l'oreal owns many fragrances and sometimes has outlet stores (it doesn't have their name on it but it is their product). i dont know if prada would be included. you can look into that so you know its not fake. that is a growing problem on the internet so i would not suggest buying anywhere that seems questionable.

If the item is being sold by Amazon (and not a Marketplace Seller) - you can return it with a pre-printed shipping label if it is not as advertised.

I have bought perfume from amazon and it was exactly the same as was in sept stores. Read the reviews on the perfume. Amazons reviews are always right on!

I've bought Burberry Brit from Amazon before. Came in the same packaging that one gets at Sephora and did not smell old (very fresh, lasted the appropriate amount of time on my skin). Good luck!

While I haven't ever bought fragrance from Amazon, we do a lot of our shopping on Amazon for a wide variety of things and have never gotten anything that wasn't exactly as it should be - brand, quality, etc. The couple of times I've had to return something (didn't fit, etc), the return was super easy and the credit to my card was quick.

Nortstrom Rack has high end perfume with good prices. If you have one near you you could call them and ask if they have Prada perfume. I've called and found the clerks to be really helpful. My D wanted Viva LaJuicy and it was much cheaper at Nordstrom Rack.
